Have you tried to stuff the tires yet? I'd be surprised if a 12.5" wide tire on a 0 offset wheel would clear without remodeling your fenders.

Agree.

I fully stuffed my 35x12.5 on RW+.75” spacers, and I would definitely not want to push out as far as +0 offset.

If you do this with 0 you will have trouble:

Haven’t yet but will be soon to figure out what else will be needed. I plan to at least cut out or roll the inner lip and if needed, cut the fender line higher. It’s about 46mm more aggressive than the pictures above.

There is no fender liner to cut in the rear.

Right, the actual metal lip of the quarter panel was what I referring to. Any of the plastic fenders liners didn’t stand much of a chance, at least in the “3 and 9“ positions mentioned in this thread and have been cut out already. Front already has a body mount and pinch weld chop and rocker panel cover/inner fender trimmed to just leave the outside.

Kenda makes a 35x10.5x17 in an RT. I think the model is kr601.

I have 35x12.50x17 Toyo AT2s on mine, and it has the mods in my sig. Most notably though are removed front mud flaps, Slee KDSS relocation, light fender well trimming up front, and Rock Warrior wheels. It drives very well, and the Toyos are much quieter than the 33" Duratracs they replaced. They measure out to just over 34" tall, but they are fairly wide and just barely rub on the KDSS arm at full lock. I'd prefer a tire that's a touch narrower but the same height if possible. I have another thread going with the tire choices I'm considering, but the thread didn't really go anywhere lol.

The Kenda Klever R/T in 35x10.5 R17 really deserves more attention in this forum, it's an amazing choice for what's being discussed here. First tire offered in this size, and I've only seen @drftsub running them on here. Might be my next choice.

Runs a true 34.76" x 11.02" and weighs 67-68 lbs.

Versus another popular hybrid tire on here, the Nitto Ridge Grappler, which in 35x12.5R17 weighs 75.45 lbs.

I believe the Kenda's could therefore be an answer to what @Markuson mentioned as a concern with the frustrations running a 35x12.5, and is pretty much the tire size @mcgaskins wished for way earlier in the thread.

The 2" less in tire width should save a good amount of headaches with rubbing, stuffing/articulation, and weight while giving the extra clearance and size running 35's brings. The GX and Tacoma communities have been lauding it for some time now, as a strong hybrid terrain halfway between an all-terrain and mud-terrain. Capable tire off-road, good siping for wet weather, very low noise, good in winter conditions, etc by most reports. The sidewall looks pretty knobby and useful too when aired down.

The 35x10.5 Klever R/T, as well as the 34" 285/75R17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W and Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT for example, seem to be very good all rounders that solve previous issues with running wide 35's for our platform, with the size to match.

Oh and it's pretty cheap too at $130 (on sale) to $180 per tire.

Wondering if this might be the healthy alternative for 35’s provided you re-gear. One reason i dumped my 35’s was no regear...but main reason was the compromises involved in dealing with clearance, mostly tied to width. So ya. A very interesting tire and size.

With the 2016+ 8-speed's different ratios, the need for a regear I assume would be a bit less with these tires on the newer 200's as well. Considering it's right around 3/4's of an inch from the true size of a 34" 285/75R17 which works fine with the 8-speed, it might be right at the edge of actually needing a regear, who knows.

The savings in rotational, unsprung weight vs. most 35x12.5's should help with the sluggish driving feeling that would also motivate a regear. The weight and width (narrower contact patch/less friction) savings should also help with MPG's and general handling characteristics. An interesting tire for sure!

I've been eyeing the Yokohama G0003 MTs, they have this size LT285/75R18 129/126Q which they say is 35x11.2, weighs 65lbs. I have been told they run true to size and an awesome tire. Pricey though.

I have 129 duty tires. They are really stiff. I wasn't able to mount them manually with tire irons. I don't find the ride stiff after I got to a pressure that was correct, but the range of pressure before it feels too rough is relatively narrow.

I mention as I have the benefit of adjustable damping, it may be harder to control compliance without that.
