Don’t forget—no 200 series radiator recall, just a quiet redesign 10 years after the fact.

I guess it depends on what issues are widespread enough and occur before the warranty is up
Why would they recall? Even the "early" failures are lasting at least 2x the warranty period. Most auto manufacturers wouldn't even bother with a redesign on a radiator with a significant portion of failures at 10 years and 100k miles. I'd bet the "bad" 200 series radiators are about average in lifespan compared to other vehicles.

A little bit of negative press in recent weeks about the LC200 head gasket/engine block design but we don't hear much about those that have served us well. Check in with your current mileage if you have a LC200 with over 200,000 miles.

Mine just crossed 150,000 and maintaining it like mad.
My 2008 Land Cruiser is at 307,200 miles.

2013 200 with 145,000 miles, no issues.

My first LC was a 2013. I had it from new until 348,000 miles. Did the valley plate leak twice; sold it with a bad head gasket leak. Sold it at a premium.

Picked up a "used" 2021 model with 3,000 miles about a year later. Just turned 92,000 on it.

In my experience, these are the best vehicles I've ever owned.
