My 01 of 75' is 2F 000988

Looks like from Jan to Apr they made about 17,420 engines. There's right at 17 weeks in that time frame, so if they were making about 1,000 a week, mine was likely made in the first week of the entire run of 2F's. Anybody else in the sub 1k club?

My FJ40 was manufactured in June of 1977 and its serial is 2F 177721.

Kerryjcox, that is the engine number I believe, the number on the door, or on the front outside of the frame, forward of the RHS wheel, will be your frame number/vin

Right. I thought we were looking only for the engine number and VIN was optional.

the VIN number is FJ40-250528.

August 1975 - did you buy your FJ40 recently? Your 2F is listed in the spreadsheet somewhere in this thread.
