They bolt right on with no issues or rubbing. No need for spacers, but I ran 2.5" spacers in the rear so the track matched the front.

Gotcha. I haven't decided what I want to do about the track problem. In Japan, most 70 owners who care about the track problem run spacers. I'd prefer to run -50 offset rims but those are rare and I haven't found one yet that I like. The ideal fix is that expensive kit from Australia, but that's a big commitment of time, and money and it is irreversible.

Yes it is. After nearly 3 years of owning it, but sparingly used, I sold it last week. While it is great truck, and I enjoyed it immensely on several trips that we did, there was something about it that was lacking. Maybe its the harsh ride and long turning radius. Also, with a young family, I want to start taking them on trips, and they always prefer to ride in the 62 or 80, so I know the 79 wont see much action. It was time to move on. I got a great price and sold it to an interesting fella, so its in good hands.

This is the last pic I have of it on file.

Till then.

How long is this?

how did you find the 900r16s? Im considering a 3" lift and something about that size with an HZJ79 but i'm concerned about rubbing and fitting in inside the rear of a factory box

@ForealBoreal they fit very well, and I had a 2" lift. You'll be fine. Noisy as hell though, and each wheel and tire combo weighed 100lbs!
