Quick question - new to me 2019 LC and put on some Falken Wildpeak ATs - 275-70-18 - what pressure do you all run this size tire at?

I finally got them on the highway and got up above 75MPH - they felt very unstable like balloons on the wheels in terms of jittery and bouncing around. I've noticed this at slower speeds on local rough roads - where it feels like its bouncing around over the potholes vs the older stock tires which didnt do that. I'll go check the PSI but they just came back from the tire shop and no TPMS warnings so assume they are close the recommended. Or would the recommended PSI change with the tire?

Lots of good reading and info over here.

I run my LT275/70r18 Tires, both highway Tires and All terrain tires between 37 psi and 41psi. Anything 41psi and above is jittery and jarring over bumps with my current set up.

Based on your description it looks like they are over-inflated.

If you have the WILDPEAK A/T3W tire in LT-Metric size LT275/70R18 125/122S Load Range E, then:

The RCTIP (Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure) for those LT275/70R18 tires on your 2019 LC200 is
41psi F/R.

If you want to check it out for yourself, you can consult the excellent monograph on the subject published by Toyo Tires found here: Guidelines for the Application of Load and Inflation Tables

Or, you can use the Tire Pressure Calculator found here (just be sure to enter info accurately): Tire Pressure Calculator

Toyo 285/65/18 on stock 2020 HE wheels, stock USA suspension, no factory puck, no lift. No modifications and no rubbing (so far) - I hopped out a dozen times to check at various full lock and other various positions - parked flat and parked front downhill at lock each way, etc. I think there's plenty of space and can't see trail flexion bringing it closer where it's at it's closest right now. I do believe 1.25 spacers would induce slight rubbing on the outer tire edge at the rear center of the wheelwell mudflap, but not the front. TownFair tire warranty/ guarantee is in place even with the upsizing from OEM and me pointing our the 8" rim vs. 8.5+ min Toyo spec. Happy with the ride so far.

Also oddly, scheduled yesterday installed today. I had believed these were backordered most places. Maybe that's changing.

It's been done before, but just for posterity, here's 285/75r18 (35x11.5) on tundra wheels with 1" bora spacers. Stock height LX570. It required moving the front splashguard forward, cutting off a bit of the plastic at the rear of the front wheel well (I have LC rockers, not LX running boards), and bending the little metal rocker bracket back to eliminate rub at the back of the front tire. The rear did not require any modification. I pretty much just tried to copy @TeCKis300 thread, but veered from his method a little bit. All in all about 30 minutes per wheel well to re-shuffle things into a more tire-friendly location.

I'm glad I did not get 1.25" spacers, 1" is perfect without sticking out like a bro-dozer and throwing rocks at the paint.

Your post didn't go to waste. I have bora 1" spacers coming and have the same wheels sitting in the garage. I was not sure if they would fit without stud trimming. I currently have bora 0.75" and to fit these tundra wheels, the studs would need to be trimmed in the rears. I also didn't want to go wider than 1" to avoid kicking up rocks.

Been following this thread for a while now and found this and many other threads super helpful in trying to decide on wheels and tires. A big shout out to all those who answered questions and provided their experiences. I had debated a long time about which tire size to go with and wanted to share my my thoughts for others who are reading. I ended up going with EvoCorse DakarZero 17x8 ET 40s in Matte Black and Falken Wildpeak AT3w in 285/70r17.

A few notes about this: My use case was that this is my daily driver and I will be doing a lot of driving on the highway to get to skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and to get to our cabin where we will do a lot of fire service roads, light overlanding, and camping. We also spend a lot of time on snow and ice. I won't be doing any rock crawling, at least intentionally. I wanted to go as big as possible without doing a lot of trimming, shifting liners, KDSS relo, or obligating myself to make other mods and I wanted to maintain as much of the original geometry and scrub radius while still getting a 17 inch AT wheel and tire setup that looks good. I am so glad I went with the smaller tire size, which by the way, is not that small unless maybe comparing to 35s. I do have slight rubbing on the passenger side front rearward mudflap in full lock in reverse. I don't see or notice any other rubbing and I don't hear any other rubbing except in this one scenario. I was a little surprised by this but it seems pretty minor. I could heat up the flap but I am scheduled for a BP51 lift in late May/early June so I will take care of it then.

I think the setup looks great, the feel and performance of the rig is way better, nowhere near as much of the marshmallow feel, and I can take corners at faster speed and it overall just feels more robust. That said, I do feel a few more bumps in the road due to the E rated tires but worth the trade and to be expected. Noise is minimal and I can't tell a difference compared to stock even at 80 MPH.

All in all, happy with my choice and it really does come down to what you want to do in your rig and how you want it to look. I was always thinking I needed the next size up when in reality, the rig is super capable already so I didn't feel like I needed to go any bigger. A couple before and after pics below:

By the way, I do have the caps for these wheels, just haven't put them on yet. Will do that and post photos as I know some have wondered about the caps.
Back from vacation and finally posting pics with the caps. They look pretty good and everything lines up well if you follow the pics from the EvoCorse website. We'll see how long the center cap "sticker" holds up.

Your truck looks fantastic! I have the same (LX570 2015-Black). Just purchased a set of 17" Evo's 8x17- 40ET. Question...do you think the 40ET (vs your +25mm) would reduce or increase the rubbing hot spots and required trim modifications?

I am going with ko2's ...but can't decide between 295/70 vs 285/70. 295 looks best. But blank canvas and hindsight...would you have done the 285's instead of the 295's?

Glad I went with 295's and nothing smaller. If anything, I'm upset I didn't go with 305's. Plan is to jump up to 305's when I need tires next. The trimming isn't bad, once you make your first cut, its fair game and you no longer care about hacking up that area (since no one will see it anyways).

If I had to guess, the +40mm offset will have less arc than a +25mm offset and will require less plastic trimming, but may put you a bit closer to the upper control arm with a 295 or 305. I believe there are plenty of people on here that have the same wheels with 285's with no issues.

I’m running 285/70-17 with +35 offset. Had considerable rubbing on the front mud flaps. Was able to corrrect it with 2 hours of heat gun/zip tie work. Or could have just taken the flaps off, which I still may do.

Just catching up and now seeing this.

Very interesting that is exactly where my +25s rub. I have never bothered to fix it i just don't full lock reverse anymore LOL.
Have a solution one of these days but ive been kind of busy with stuff.

285/60/20 - 33.46" not a popular size so it might mean trouble if needing to replace one tire. Not sure it fits. Defender available

I would personally do that. But it depends on the tire, wether LT or P.

It’s time for new tires and was considering these LT275 /70 R18:

I’ve got a stock suspension, from the chart it looks like people are running this size without rubbing, any concerns?

Thanks!
About to pull the trigger on these (but from Costco), any last words of warning or wisdom? I recognize these aren't exactly an exotic choice, I just don't want to make a mistake.

Hey guys, did a search but came up empty. Anyone have a tire pressure recommendation for the 275/70/18 Duratrac tire on the 18x9 TRD BBS Pro wheel? Specifically the 125/122Q E variant here: https://m.tirerack.com/tires/tires....77QR8WDT&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes.

There seem to be three different specs at this size, this one has the winter snowflake symbol. This is going on a ‘19 cruiser. Have run this tires on many trucks over the years, love them in the snow.

The RCTIP for those LT275/70R18 125/122Q Load Range E tires on your LC200 is 41psi F/R.
