Sorry, that 15mm is total thickness, including the frame thickness of 3.4mm. That would make the spacer 11.6mm thick. If you can get full thread engagement at 15mm, hen I see no reason not to go with a 15mm spacer, if I'm not missing something.

If the OEM Toyota spacer is close to 9mm as someone said above, would a new 11.6mm spacer make any real difference? I mean 2.6mm seems pretty meah to my untrained eye. This for the LC crowd. I know nothing about LXs.
Does anyone know why the factory spacer has this notch in it?

I guess it will allow a little less build up. I will add that cut out to them. I can sell a set for $100 including shipping to the lower 48. I can have these ready by the beginning of February.Likely so it doesn't trap water and dirt

I’ll be 2nd in line. Although I better install something soon. I have OEM spacers and some questionable 20mm spacers off eBay. strangely enough “Temu” branded, but I dont think related to the Chinese Amazon comp. They are made of some sort of rubber/plastic.As promised, 1st in line! I think I might have been the first with your rear lower shock relocation kit too![]()
That is a super conservative assumption is it not? If nut and stud are the same strength you can go 1/2 of diameter for nut thread engagement or if like most applications the nut is softer to spread the strain axially you can go to 7/8 diameter engagement and most standard nuts are under 1.0 dia.I stand corrected on the flange nut threading. As it's an M10 stud, minimum threading should be 1-1.5 of base diameter (8.16mm), or 8.16-12.24mm of thread engagement.
ROFL. Quote of the year 2025For those considering more reasonable tire sizes, like a 35,
Well, I think every 570 should be on 37’s, but if that seems like too muchROFL. Quote of the year 2025![]()
Ultimately, I chose the Westcott because I wanted to stick with the OEM studs and, although I understand how others feel comfortable with 20mm and it’s benefits, I personally wanted to keep my CV angles as flat as possible. Especially considering the “disease” I suffer from regarding tire size. I’ve seen @TeCKis300 mention a safe CV angle, but I figured the flatter I stayed, the longer my CV’s might last with ridiculously oversized tires.
Pic of it in AHC low since this is that thread…

For those considering more reasonable tire sizes, like a 35, I could see trying to maximize the top spacer to closer to 20mm.
Well, I think every 570 should be on 37’s, but if that seems like too muchthen a 35” at least.
Reference of how stock a 37 (posing in high) can look…
