No cats, not needed where Im at, and I think a 94 times out next year in texas for them anyway. Either way I don't live in an area that does emission testing. Its just a basic safety check for vehicle inspection.

Well she’s back! She’s about done! Running great.

Still need to re-mount my from ARB bumper, I was waiting till the alignment and front end was squared up. Also waiting for a rear bumper @Delta VS Ive got your first 80 series ready to try the new design!! The weight of a rear bumper, spare tire, and gear should settle that rear end down.

Here is the screen shot of my alignment. 3 inch Dobinsons with Delta 3” radius arms. Seems good to me! But I also don’t know about this that much.

Did some driving with a local engine tuner, utilizing HP tuners we got the motor running very good and the power is responsive. Never drove a LC before so I can’t personally compare it to anything. Now to mock up the ac lines and fittings.

Just an update. Been driving the LC, still have a few gremlins to sort out. First it was stalling out, found that on the fuseable link terminal one of the posts were loose which fed the power to fuel pump. Got that sorted out. Secondly after programming one of my fans is on all the time. Didn’t notice that at the time since the engine was hot. Third issue is I got no rear brakes. So I’m swapping out the LSPV now and see if that has an affect. Then if not I’ll swap the master cylinder. Front brakes work perfectly, peddle feels great. So we’ll see.

I am a little lazy, nope really lazy. Why did you use the factory harness and not a standalone like PSI conversions?

How do you like those Recon Grapplers? I am looking at them as my next set of tires for the current 16s or when I bump up to 37s.

I kept the original harness due to costs savings. Which may or may not be worth it. I learned a lot about how a LS motor works. So it was almost a lesson in how-to and got a lot from it. I know exactly how a LS electrically works now. If I had to do a second one, it would depend on the condition of the donor.

Can’t say on the ties this far, only 50 miles or so. Got the truck apart again chasing these brakes. Balanced nicely, no road noise. I figured I would honestly be on paved roads more traveling to destinations vs off-roading. And even then it will be a family crawler not really interested in finding the limits.

Well I changed the LSPV, not sure if it was bad or not, got it swapped out, bled and bled. I put it on all 4 jacks, and took pressure checks at the calipers. got 1500psi in the front and 750 psi on the rears. Pretty close to specs, i also didn't read the gauges exactly. I put the tires on while on all 4 jacks and put it in gear and used the brakes several times. The rear brakes were engaging. Put it on the ground and drove. Seemed fine, so Im moving on from it for now. Brakes feel great. Just a few items more items to go. Need to get the a/c lines made and serviced and seats recovered. Plan on using L-seat coverings. So I updated my cost tally, Im at $22,700 all in. Well see what the final tally is.

I used Leat. They are great. I too am having issues with my brakes tho. BTW did you hook up the TCC to your brake pedal?

It moves under it own power now, just a few things to tidy up and she is roadworthy!

Got a few things tightened up, does anyone know what gauge wire was on the original starter cable from an LS or what gauge to use? I want to run new cables from the battery to the starter, alternator, and grounds. Just not sure what size is on there already. I can cut it and measure to try and figure it out.

Does anyone remember where the connector that went to the t-case mounted to? From the engine bay on passenger side.
Pretty sure that connector is EC1 and should be routed to the drivers side and connect to the main engine harness.
