Shampoo’ed my door cards, figured I might as well do the front seats too.

Looks awesome! I absolutely love those style cloth seats in particular!

Man it is sooooo good. Really have missed having a nice sound system in my Cruiser.

Cheers

Sound system in the Cruiser is done besides a mount for the sub.

Shelf and sub amp under passenger seat.

Got a little bit more done today. I decided to order a new oil pump pickup, the old one the screen was packed with fine aluminum flakes and it was proving time consuming to get them all out. That means I can’t put the oil pan on until it comes in next week.

We have been working on assembling this 1HDFT for a clients build as well.

What engine block paint did you use on the 1hdft above? Love that grey....I would think it'd be easier to detect oil leaks with that block color too. Beautiful work

Love checking out what you are doing! Nothing like a killer audio system. I've put in a double DIN head unit and replaced most of the stock speakers but haven't put in a sub yet.

But the one thing I REALLY miss about modern cars is the steering wheel mounted audio controls. I've seen a couple options that might fit the bill but wanted to know if you've done any research into it. Here's one that I know works with my head unit (the guy in the video has the same one as me)

I'm really looking for one that has a roller ball or up/down trigger for volume.

Cheers,

MoS

Ha ha when your as old as I am it's really hard to train My self to use the steering wheel controls, in My newer tow Rig I still find my self reaching over to the touch screen to answer the phone or adjust the stereo. 🤷‍♂️ :bang:

Is that what those things on the steering wheel are for?

After 100 sq ft of dynamat, how much quieter is your ride? I'm assuming by now you've driven with the new sound system off for a minute :)

I've wanted to give my cruiser that kind of treatment but only if it really makes a noticeable difference.

Thanks again for showing us newbs how the pros do it.

Edit- did that link on the phone and it jumped to the 70 series but they do the 80 as well. Can keep the airbag also.

For those interested in the one button on the HVAC system you can’t get in the USA, get it from Japan.

Enjoying my Cruiser a lot lately. Just had the A/C charged after the HVAC refresh over the winter. It is substantially cooler than it was. Heater now cooks me it works so well. Also really enjoying my new sound system, the sound deadening too.

Cheers
