Hi All, can any one help me, I looking for a reputable shop that would be able to source and put in a rebuilt/new 1FZFE into my old dog.

Several Mudders have reported good experiences with RPM Garage in Monrovia. I don't have experience with them myself. I talked to them about doing my transfer case regear, which I ended up DIY'ing. They sounded knowledgeable and I would have used them if they were closer.

There's Yota Masters in Corona, it looks like they do mechanical work as well:

I have never used RPM but spent quite a while talking to the owner. I can say, he was very knowledgeable and had a high standard. I also have never heard anything bad about them.
I would reach out to them and see what they say.
Also, I second what Fj80oregon said about Yotamasters.

Thank you! I will check them out. I want to do it my self but i live in CA and the 80 is in MD. I would drive it over here but scared it might take a poop mid way through lol. So have to ship it over here and hopefully it doesn't get stolen in transit lol.

I went with Martin Davidson Machine shop in Reseda.

I asked a few local shops in Orange County and LA, all of which were extremely expensive and couldn't give me a definitive answer if the parts being used in the rebuilt would be OEM Toyota.

Rant: I'm talking specifically about CruiserTech over in Laguna Beach. The owner literally sent me a blurry 4 line excel spreadsheet and quoted me $8000 lol

Kyle has a lot of experience rebuilding Inline 6s and did a fantastic job on my 1FZ. The invoice was detailed and he was great to deal with through the whole process. I would 10/10 recommend him again. He did a beautiful job on my engine. Although I probably should've just opted for a V8 once my tally of OE parts was done... Shoot me a PM if you want anymore info. I'd be happy to send you over his invoice and info he gave me!

You bought a MD truck, to bring to CA to be worked on?

CA people have no idea how to work on rusted bolts. They will charge you extra or refuse the job. I don't care how clean the truck may or may not be, there are rusted bolts on it.

I'm not being sarcastic. Totally serious.

Maryland? First thought was if you were to ship it to CA to get worked on, why not ship to Lance and IPOR? Iron Pig Off Road in Virginia.

Martin Davidson would be my choice if I'm going to use a machine shop, how many miles on this engine? Most machine shops are going to deck the block and either hone or bore the cylinders. There's more to it, they need to check that the main bearing journals are not out of spec, they tend to ovalize. So checking line bore is crucial, also rod bearing journals ovalize, and those must be attended to also, when they're out of spec bearings can spin. Staying on the short block, might need to replace the idler gear bushing. Cleaning the block in a hot tank or parts washer cabinet is not sufficient, the rust, scales Will mostly not come out, unless you do a oven cycle and shot peen. The crank needs to be looked at. The block needs to be checked for cracks, seen a few cracks around the freez plugs. So spending 4 to 5,000 for a factory brand new short block it's not that bad. For a machine shop to get all of these tasks done and buying OE quality parts will put you close to 4-5k.

Oh no, lol it’s been in the family since purchase back in 94. I did all the work minus the engine because I moved back out to CA. 90% of the bolts were replaced with new OEM. Everything round the motor was replaced new. Just need to motor rebuilt as it 230k miles and is slowly eating coolant.

Sound like you have a head gasket going bad.
Most likely could just do a head gasket repair.
Many have including me.
