delivered today. All I had was pics and 2nd hand messages from Bedouin owner.

It is going to need a lot of TLC from what I can tell. just to get in great shape. delivery was a 5hr drive one-way, so I know it can be on the road for a bit. lol.

AC is non-operational. owner said it had AC, not a lie, all the parts are in the back. should be fixed this week.

I am sending it tomorrow to get a complete service. all fluids, gone through completely, new belts, etc. I only had a short time today to get into it and crawl around as we were blocking traffic.

interior not that bad really, just didn't get a chance to make sure everything worked.

posting pics and any advice is encouraged.

I will start with basics, and move out from there. labor here should be cheap, but parts may be crazy with tarriffs. I can ship customs exempt to APO as well.

aaand not sure what transmission it has. 5spd. assuming R150f, came with R141f originally, pics below.

Doesn't look too bad. A lot of those interior parts are still available but the door cards are NLA. I like the saddle bags. I've been looking for a set myself. Probably have to have them made. I hope you have found a good mechanic that you can trust. That's my biggest issue in Riyadh.

Partsouq is my go to source for parts and I do pay some import duty but the prices are still pretty good.

yeah. I have a way around the customs if coming from US. waiting to get feedback from folks today and see if @cruiseroutfit can ship to APO for some of the parts needed.

broker is handling the mechanic and is logistics provider in Jordan, so knows quite a few shops. the door stuff, i think i prefer the steel plate thats on them. now I will be able to pull and soundproof a little easier than with the cardboard.

An APO address and living in Jordan huh? I think I was at that spot last year. Not a bad gig as far as those places go.

Also, I've used shipitapo.com for places that won't ship to APO directly.

exterior pics this morning

went through it again closer before it goes to inspection / service.

steering wheel has lots of play in it. needs a few odds and ends for interior. some electrical stuff with blinkers blinking no on turn signal, but parking light.. floor matts --- about 4 thick between some padding, thick rubber floor liner, and additional floor matts, lol, so thick it comes up above bottom of door.

plus is, been sitting almost 20hrs, started right up, no issues. not much legroom, but I knew that already. brakes felt fine, shifted with no issues. all after making 5+hr drive yesterday up from south.

still deciding on whether to keep the split rims. and it seems like there is a different type of lugnut on each stud, where it has studs. the wheels in back, are 15 inch beads, and will go away, probably today. literally home made bedouin stuff I don't trust. looks cool though, being wide wheels on 33x12.5x15

yes, came with the ARB and LED's on it. and for some reason white plumbers like tape on everything, peeled most of interior off this morning, just decorative. looking at pics, forgot to do the steering wheel. lol

still going with R150 assumption by looking at the pics off internet. can't make out anything in low light underneath it. hopefully more info in next few days on overall condition before i start DD it. @TonyP -- yep. this truck will soon be at JTC, MSAB and Titin in next few weeks. lol H5 and T22, will take other vehicles.

Looks very much like an R150 transmission, or more likely an R151. If it has a really low 1st and 2nd ratio it’s the 151.

let sit for a few days to see what was leaking and from where. not bad actually. a few drips here and there, more from around TC area. and it started right up in old diesel fashion.

will need some interior pieces, not sure wth is going on with steering wheel. warning lights work, that's about it on interior. going to shop tomorrow with a host of items to get looked at and complete service.

AC needs installed. most parts are in back.
heater, who knows. i see lines running in and out of cab and heater control valve. but exit hose just dead ends going nowhere. saving big ticket items like this for maintenance shop since labor is cheap here.
little play in steering wheel. which brings up, don't think its the stock steering wheel and the horn piece is well, pics below. and tape is gone now. lol

windshield wipers work, no intermittent.. windshield cleaner inop, cables cut. bottle has liquid in it, but inop. looks like something else should be mounted there as well. pic below.

have a buttload of items queued up in partsouq and megazip depending on what mechanic tells me.

should be interesting next few months.

aand my muliple layers of flooring.

ordered new stereo system with dynamat today. interior, apart from steering wheel, is in good shape, just dirty. even the steering wheel just needs to right pieces to go together. horn works fine. weird light on the dash wouldnt go off, realized it was seatbelt warning. lol and another weird one for this part of the world.

Not sure if much of those brown parts are still available but I haven't looked that far back. 1994 was gray or sable. Windshield wipers come with intermittent (with no adjustment so almost useless) or with the "push down to wipe once" option. I started to change to intermittent but decided not to in the end.

Good luck with everything. Looks like a fun project! Projects that you can drive are always the best projects...

thanks. wipers have low and high speed. they work fine. when I turn it in, will have it detailed. basically needs disassembled to get all the dirt out of cracks and crevices...

Did you look at the last few pages of my thread? I took the dash completely apart and washed it and all the A/C ductwork. A bit intimidating but it wasn't too bad in hindsight.

I feel like all dash work is more intimidating than anything else. Yes it's tedious and annoying... but it's really not that hard in the grand scheme of things.
