Me after all this work

Super nice work! You have convinced me to get some heat shield material. I like the custom brackets, much better!

What are you using for heat shield? I need to do this too eventually. My ass was HOT after driving cross country for a week straight.

Titanium thermal adhesive
1800f blanket
High temp thermal aluminum

I cut & shaped it myself and rounded off the edges inward, very easy to do, the brackets and holes I made custom and welded nuts on the inside so I can tighten the heat shield on to it, making a couple more. These are very easily shaped you can do it by hand literally.

One of the guys posted this, it’s better than what I did I think, simpler and faster
But if you go back couple pages you’ll see my Amazon links

Reading back a few pages and saw the tape you used on the harness hopefully you have luck with it especially under the hood. I used the Tesa brand same thing and it doesn't hold up to heat. Had to switch it out to something else
Will get super soft and melty

Paint looks good!

Hopefully it’s good, so far so good

Original booster, just cleaned up and painted, do these have diaphrams inside that go bad should I get a new booster ??

Also welded on the bracket for the e brake on to the rear fj40 diff cover because the 62 has a bracket there apparently … gonna paint it again

Those boosters do go bad. If it’s original it’s likely on its last leg. But if it works run it.

Are you doing the roof too? That thing is like a drum head bouncing around up there.
