Day 1 complete. Sound deadening removed and cleaned up. Tomorrow I’ll break out the Tarminator and clean everything up. If all goes well, I’ll start installing.

I used Stoner Tarmintor (I love the name LOL) and it worked great. Probably not going to be super OCD, but will get most.Great job! What did you decide to use, the goof off? While you have everything open, perhaps replace the fuel vent lines and lube your window mechanism. Keep going!
I got my fuel vent hose set from Cruiser Matt in Flo Rita. I did all vent hoses below at the tank including the inlet to the gas cap and the vent hoses inside at the rear quarter. I got the oem fuel cap from VintageTeq. Long story short no more fuel smells in the cabin!I used Stoner Tarmintor (I love the name LOL) and it worked great. While everything is open, I've been cleaning everything. Will definitely lube everything inside the doors and spray some Fluid Film where needed. I also had a few spots with surface rust that I have wire wheeled and painted with rust encapsulator. I hadn't thought about fuel hoses, but will take a look. Good call!

I'm not sure I would go that route. The carpet already has a good shape out of the box. If you are going that route, I definitely wouldn't cut it before adding everything underneath, especially if you're adding more than just the deadener (MLV, etc.). Kind of seems like double the work, but I've never done this before, so who knows. LOLLooks good! I have had my DNP carpet for a while too. Waiting to start mine when I have some free time.
I am thinking of trying to fit the carpet before putting the extra material in. Using a heat gun and steamer to get it all to fit right. Then pull and add the sound deadner.
I wasn't planning on cutting until after I put the sound deadener down. I just saw a lot of pics of carpet installed that was wrinkly and not relaxed. Figure this might help but I haven't installed new auto carpet either.I'm not sure I would go that route. The carpet already has a good shape out of the box.
