Here is a Prado 31250-60383 (left) next to an Exedy Safari Tuff 1HZ disc (look at that fiber weave!). No aftermarket DTX disc seems to be available at this time for the 60383. The Hilux with the same 310 ft/lb output engine receives a 31250-0K281, which has a DTX-232a available (last pic) , unsure if it is any better, but the multi colored springs and plastic support pieces refer to something about the construction. If you want to try the 60383, LMK, will sell.

Great info. I’ll send you a PM.

I would think that 3.0L should be good for the 13bt.

Man, I'm over here on the sidelines following along with baited breath. I wish I could help and really hope you can pull this off and make it to SAS. Probably a lot of people rooting for you right now.

I’m hoping too. Clearing out the garage and going to put some time in here soon.

This doesn’t help any work get done. My daughter came in from giving horses water and said a big branch fell.

I had to get it out of the way so she could drive to work. This was 1:15 today. She had to be to work at 2. BJ74 and chainsaw to the rescue and no late to work.

About the only thing @stayalert would be proud of is the fact I used a 70 series to deal with tree work!

I’ve gotten to use that 8274 a few times recently for l farm work. It’s been a great purchase and time saver.

Also getting some new plates. Thinking about personalized plates but deciding what to put on there. BJ74 is out for a multitude of reasons… :D along With anything BJ related.

I don’t know…maybe not :D
I realize BJBen probably wouldn't fly, but why not FJBen?

And I just threw away two clutches and discs recently that were laying around from my 14Bt swap, pretty sure one of them would have worked for you.:(

LOL! Awesome job! I'm proud of you for raising someone who helps with the critters AND goes to work on time:clap:
(and of course using a 70 series for tree work)

Yeah let’s totally skip BJBen lol! I’ll Probabaly skip anything with my name

That’s a bummer, yeah I bet one of those discs would have worked and been very close to perfect. I have one that might work in the line. The plan is to start pulling it tonight or tomorrow and see what I have.
I’m betting 14b/15b would work, although I’m unsure is the 15b ever came in front of an h55f.

She should help with the critters lol, they are hers! They are all good kids, 14yr old son even works early in the morning a couple days of the week at a job…of course he sleeps when he gets home but…

We have a lot of tree work to do and I’m 1/2 afraid to see that cost.

Went to dmv…that was a pain. Dealer that did VIN inspection messed up and I had to go to sherrifs office for another VIN inspection.

The lady was pretty confused looking at title and she said a 2 door Land Cruiser? They have those?

Ah I swear.

Anyway all good, back to dmv tried for custom plates. GDAYM8 or GDAY M8 was in use. Got my boring plates and left.

Looked up online to see what’s available and a site said GDAYM8 belongs too….
A 2016 Subaru Outback.
GDAY 2017 Ram 2500 OK…

No joke, I saw this Kia the other day and never did it dawn on me that it referred to Australia...

Well, that’s was not a fun 4 hours last night. Besides the dumping rain, and my crappy shop ( yes at least it’s covered but I really miss my other shop) I still don’t have the transmission out.

The top bolt is insanely tight and I can barely loosen it. Notnsure if something is pinched or what but I’ve been chipping away for over an hour. That always makes for good experience.

The other is gear oil on the rear driveshaft bolts by the pinion. Yep that means a seal has given up or the preload is off. the flange can slightly move before the pinion…there is quite a bit of slop in the rear diff so I’m guessing the preload is off since it moves.

Tightening it up may or may not work. The preload has to be right.

The front 3rd feels excellent.

The answer is Probabaly to swap 3rds. However that basically entails rebuilding the front and rear axles…

If and IF I can set the preload correct, I’m guessing it will be OK for a little while. If I can’t get it right then I just need to switch 3rds now which means it’s going to be down longer as I just don’t have that much time.

Might as well rebuild front/rear axles and brakes and and and…

That appears to be flange slop and gear play, nothing super crazy fwiw. The splines and flange would be a relatively easy fix.

That’s my guess at why there is a little leaking. Going to try and get the preload right. Otherwise it will be a call to get some parts and not just bug about a clutch disk!

Oh and took off the spare as I hear some noise from it.

That’s scary. Weld her up is the temp fix until I finish that swing out.
