one thing about these consoles it does make the wiring pretty easy.
wire everything up.
then zip tie everything nice and neat
then make a junction about a foot away from the console and you can remove the console easily if you need to add, change or delete anything.
this deck has blue tooth, sat, imputs, 3 sets of RC, all the toys.
i did the sub with different wiring than the front and rear speakers.

3 gang plug as well as USB charger for hidden access to power for the toys ...

so while i am playing with the stereo Mitch is busy getting the running board replacement side bars completed.
the upper mount for the small winch, the owner has the option to remove the winch and mount and install road lights for the summer if he wishes ...

Subscribed, nice looking build. Where did you source out the 12 volt/usb hub? You are doing everything in this truck that I have planned for mine (but am too busy/lazy to do). Are you planning on doing an upgraded alternator for this truck? I have run into issues trying to run a very large amp off of my factory alternator. Nice work on the stereo install/wiring, looks clean. One suggestion would be to invest in a decent pair of flush cutters to trim those zap straps with though, they are sharp as S^&t when not trimmed, and will cut you if you have to work on the wiring down the road.
 
the tub itself will see very little bodywork since this one is sacrificial, it is too far gone to worry about sinking more time and money into it.
this truck is getting e/lockers front and rear
disc rear
turbo and SS exhaust
frame gone over
brake lines where needed
front clip will be stripped and repainted properly
rear small door replaced
roof rack or light bars, decision still up in the air
rear swing out tire carrier and utility rack
air bags front and rear
lots of lights

12V vacuum pump with high amp alternator
York compressor with accessories
air tank rear

and maybe more ...

What kind of sound do you get out of the speakers in the console, seeing as they are not fully enclosed? Nice looking setup.
 
the sound will be pretty good, there is a heavy sound deadening being attached to the ceiling before the console is slid in place ...
most car stereos are just speakers stuck in tin with screws.

but

i won't know till i fire the sound system up.

so the wiring for the stereo is completed with quick connects for easy removal ...
power to the 2 way
feeds to the amp
feeds to the speakers
power feeds to the deck
missing is the short antenna extension

off to the other side is the feeds to the 4 switches with each switch load wire tagged for easy sourcing once the console is in place. i ran the power feed from the other side for a couple reasons. too much wiring for one pillar and this keeps the power wires away from the deck and amp feeds as reasonably possible.

then it was on to the rear door panel with the sub and amp ...
the amp is held on with SS bolts and will need the panel removed to be stollen, not a quick or easy task.

the subwoofer is the same depth as the amp so that works sweet for mounting.
the heavy duty speaker grill
sitting 1" out to prevent any damage should the owner was some BOOM.

the door will be layered with a sound deadening foam mat in place of the typical MDF box. the sound store mentioned this would work very well to allow the bass to be crisp and sharp.

a crap load of wires have to be run from the head unit to the amp, back to the head unit and to the other speakers in the rear.

the subwoofer amp will be located elsewhere and will need the wires run in.

very time consuming process.

then the addition of location lamps for the front corners.

although i don't recommend booting down the highway with this blower attached these lights do make it legal...

the plow lights are installed,
the winch for raising and lowing is installed
since the blower only goes up and down and doesn't tilt except manually by the adjuster rods we needed to design a way to use the quick disconnect attachment so legs were made.
you drop the legs while the blower is in the air.
you lift the quick disconnect arms.
you disconnect the power feeds.
lower the blower
and back away
simple, clean and effective

to reattach reverse the list.

the blower attachment is done till we can test it. we need the airbags first.

that is it for now.

You guys get any snow up there this year Wayne? We have had a very strange winter down in southwestern ontario....
What kind/size of motor did you get for the blower?

Loving the build! I am excited for this guy to end up with a truck he can really use!

we have had nothing, right now i have green grass showing. it has been a excellent winter but very windy at times. this snow blower would not have even been fired up.

that motor on the blower is installed down south. they buy the blower from Almira and ship it south and install the winch motor for turning the shoot and the gass powered motor for turning the blades. pretty ingenius, great guys to work with too.

once again there is some ... trepidation ... on my part since i have never had a reason to install a blower on the front of a Cruiser before, i know the parts i made are overkill and in theory everything should work smoothly but you never know till you test it.

next week we have the spindles from the States showing up, the axle from Oregon, the airbags from Cali.
the York showed up yesterday with the assorted parts.
i am hoping the wiring will be completed today.
if all goes well the interior panels will be routered and most of the PC parts will be heading off to the shop early next week.

then we can remove the body and take our first look at the frame and drivetrain.

progress is being made.
 
Global Warming:D ....forget the snow blower and instead attach a lawn mower.:)
