turn signals issues

Your patience & attention to detail is amazing and your build is something I think every cruiserhead following is super stoked to see, what is even more amazing is the speed at which you are getting er done. Well done Rob.
Did you have any luck with your turn signal problems? :steer:

thank you tlc81,

it has been an event, very time consuming with 3 of us hard at work every weekend for just about a year straight. what helped is I bought everything prior to even tearing down, wanted to make sure I had the major components for it. i would not have gotten half this far if not for alot of answers from folks on this forum.

Outstanding, 10 out of 10 effort. Well done and I hope you get many years enjoyment from your truck. Better get a good locking system and a cut off on your fuel line.:beer::beer::beer:

yep already has kill switch hidden, now a good lock is needed.

Thanks!! i better keep for awhile to pay for itself

builds like this never 'pay' for themselves other than the pleasure it brought during the build and the glow in your heart when someone compliments you on your rig.

X2, $$$$$$. I get compliments on it and it doesnt even have an engine in it, lol. Looks good sitting there, have my folks pull me around with their truck on the property.

Thanks Theo, I am having more a** pain with the new Diesel shop that has my engine now. They have all my new parts and the owner who does all the work wont get off his lazy a** to put one sleeve in so the other guy who tore it all down can reassemble, this has been going on for weeks??? can lead a horse to water but cant make it drink? what to do since i am now over 1000 miles away? guy said he can have it reassemlbled in a day if his boss would put sleeve in that I had to replace after he cracked the last new one. what luck! but I will keep putting money into my lawn ornament, just ordered my man-a-fre rear bumper, with jerry can carrier, and finishing up my roof rack. I can do nothing now but wait for someone to get hungry for $$$, guess business is good for some?

your build is looking great BTW.

got the MAF-1045 bumper on, heavy, heavy unit, my pop actually installed it since I am 7 states away. with the 235/75-16 tire the amby door just clears by half of an inch thank god. he said was a pain becuase comes with no instructions and that my onboard air tank in the rear interfered a little with the mounting bolts but he got it.

Awesome work, i'm loving it! That outside esky (cooler) carrier is something we don't see down here in oz, but it's a good idea considering the lack of room inside a shorty. Hope your engine woes are soon fixed!

Rob, where did you get that battery tray holder/bracket which attaches to the chassis on the driver's side ? Is it OEM ? My LHS one is like that but the the RHS one that came (un-mounted) with the truck only has mounting points into the fender and I am not sure that the fender is strong enough to carry the weight of a battery etc ?? Could that be the OEM gasser setup ??

Thanks fellas,

just spoke with engine shop 10 mins ago, they had to send engine back to machine shop to bore out liners for he said piston was too tight, they knew liners came semi finished like I told them, as long as it comes back right I can hang a little longer for it. cooler rack holds 3 jerry cans or approx 24" x 14" cooler, I like that for I have 4 new diesel scepter cans and my camp trailer holds 2 jerry cans as well.

Wayne, the bumper came with some scrathces on it but what can I do now, they should wrapped or handle a little better than they do? Heavy, heavy!!

Theo, I can only imagine the $$$ it would cost to ship to the Cape, it cost me $200 inside the U.S to FL?? The battery tray mount is OEM out of the Canadian spec 40 series for they are 24V with dual batteries, I ordered a used one from a shop in canada and it mounts just like the other one on top of frame rail and through sides, holes are already tapped for it on yours like mine was. it sits a little farther forward than our passenger side ones but that is how they are in the CDN spec cruisers. very heavy. I actually just seen one on ebay not too long ago, it would cost you a little in shipping but if you need me to locate you one I will see what I can do,

Huge thanks Rob !

:crybaby: If only I had known when we shipped the Hell Creek suspensions a while back. Now the shipping costs would kill me :crybaby:

well finally got engine back in and it made its ride from FL to NC or about 500 miles. she did great after she finally loosened up, initially she wouldnt go over 50 mph but by end of 12 hour drive she was doin 68mph @ 2500rpm with no hills or headwinds and this is with my headers back on. I will reinstall turbo now so I am able to pull my CDN M101 trailer, my folks had to pull my trailer for me on this trip while I broke my rig in. finished my homemade roof rack made of recycled composite decking board and Kendorf electrical conduit holder for braces (both heavy and stout).
