This looks to great not to subscribe. Keep up the great work.

I thought the spindles cleaned up pretty good. Here is shot before the hubs were installed. If you look closely you can see how the chasis coat has that satiny finish. The paint is hard as a rock, so it shouldn't be too hard to pressure wash when it's dirty.

I got a really good deal, so they were hard to pass-up. The guy on the phone gave me such a low price, I had to call back later and verify the price. He confirmed the price, then said "I don't normally quote prices, I am only filling in for my Father, Let me call him and see if he charges any mark-up". I couldn't believe it. He then called me back with a $10 increase in the price per tire. Wow!!

You mentioned the subject of exhaust - are you going stock configuration, or re-routing over the frame and around an auxiliary tank? If you're doing an aux tank, make sure you find another fuel door off a wreck somewhere. This project is waaaaay too serious for any other approach.

You are an inspiration to us all!

GREAT thread, amazing job..... i have a stock '77 and can't even imagine doing all of this work!!!

Those are bad azz!

The company who makes the chasis coat also makes what they call "Metal Mask". I think I will call them and get the temperature rating on the paint. I may be able to use it on the calipers. It looks like I am getting a little surface rust on the rotors already.

Jut put a little oil on them, cleans off easy and keeps the serface rust away.

Themaraisbouleurway, hope the project is moving along well.

On a side note what type of blasting cabinet did you purchase and so far do you like it or would you go with a different one if you had it to do over?

You've done a great job, wish I had the time and patience to do that kind of restoration. One thing though, Paint those wheels black, don't you know black is the new chrome.:D
