Love the stance...is that a 2” lift? 33s? I’m collecting photos for my near future (very near) rig.

EStein,

yes 33’s with a 2-2.5” lift.

Over the weekend I put a few more miles on her. Changed filters, air and fuel. New thermostat, rubber has been in there for quite some time. Got the heat to work with the old vintage air, will need a bit more work to it working without holding an elect switch with hand.

Adjusted most doors to stop rattles and squeaks need to tighten up the air tank today and continue on carb adjustments.

Big job next, reseal the cowl to windshield. Will be a delicate job so I don’t mess things up to much, but I get a glovebox full of water when I wash her.

Loving the new to me rig.

thinking about names...

Was very luck that the PO took care of these parts also.

Nice rig! Mine started life mustard as well but will shortly be converted to Toyota cement as I finish up the restoration. Your avatar says Houston...which part?

Very nice rig! At what point was it re-geared, the ‘76 came with 4:11’s. Great looking 40. My brothers is destined for this.

Beautiful truck. Regarding your leak, I'd start with the hood hinge bolts. A dab of silicone under the bolt heads and some rubber gaskets between the hinges and the cowl will do the trick. Next culprit would be the windshield hinges.

Pierps,

good thought. Easier to try first. I may use a little water this evening and see!

when the PO installed lockers front and rear. These gears are perfect for HOUSTON. May not like them in CO so much!

3.70s are a great mod to any 3/4 speed truck. Putting them in my tin can FJ45 now to see if it makes that thing any more pleasant on the road

it will around town. I learned that I just need to take 3rd a bit higher on the rev’s when getting on ramp before the shift to 4th!
