And wouldn't you know, I had ordered wiper arms that were incompatible with these.

Really wondering if I should try to dig up some original wiper arms....

Started pulling the wiring loom today. Took pics to document what went where and labeled each end that was actually connected. Most weren't connected of course. Way too many wires frayed at the connectors and wiring bypassed

Who does this to a windshield wiper circuit? And of course the wire is tangled in the dash support and other wiring. Looks like a little snip snip is in order.

Got it out. Looks a fright but will knock off for the night.

The headlights switch wins first place in the "redneck repair" category, tho

As janky as the foot dimmer looks, it appears to work.

I'm going to just reinstall it.

floor dimmers are long since DISC. / NLA

there are 100% COUTERFIET retro looking ones on EBAY , from all over it seams ?

so be careful there

they all have a shinny gold bumper part cap ,

all have 3 screws too , TOYOTA or TR company NEVER came with 3 screws

I used this Fuse Box & Cover from City Racer. The dimmer switch I drilled a little hole in the bottom and sprayed it with contact cleaner and worked it back and forth when it quite working.

Other than rusting solid, I've never seen a foot dimmer fail in any of my vintage vehicles. Is it advisable to get one just in case?

Mine would not switch, after spraying it with contact cleaner it works fine. Not worth rat holing that part to me.

The wiper arms and blades look good, but am a little confused as to how they install. Do you force them down over the splines, and what kind of nut and washer fits on them?

Also noticed this. Speed marker relay? Is this a part of the transfer case? Seems a little high tech for 1969.

The speedmarker detector is inline with speedo cable-has 2 wires at approx 10" away from speedo cable end (at TC) which then go to the relay (firewall) then to the VSV (vacuum switch valve)-drivers fender. Not part of TC but emissions/distributor retard function.
