Last night, I finished installing the Speedo Cable, sealed up the transmission hump and installed the front seats. Had these done locally in Bakersfield and they came out great. New foam, rings, fasteners and a marine vinyl called “Rawhide Buckskin”.

I just spoke with Jason a bit ago. He was considering my Quik Hinges, but after looking at his build, he and I both agreed it would be better off stock or with @SMG’s hinge pins.

I cannot imagine having such an immaculate 40!

Thanks @69LC for the help and compliments. I’m looking forward to getting a set of @SMG pins/bushings for the doors and hopefully he can make a set for the early hood hinges I have.

Today, my Dad came over and saw the FJ40 for the first time. After some tears and talk with it, he and I worked on it together (which was super cool). We got the rear half doors, hardware, license plate frame and spare tire carrier and tire mounted.

Good progress today back at the body shop. I was able to take the day off work and spend it working on it down there.

Fenders, Aprons, Bib, Running Boards all installed.

Dressed up the hood and went with a Optima Yellow Top to power this thing. Neighbor had it for $50 (spare new one), so I jumped on it.

Got the jack handles and crank handle mocked up for install. Those are ready. This thing is looking nicer and nicer everytime I get to it. Super happy how this project is turning out.

It’s been slow lately. Last Thursday, we were able to put the Windhsield, Hood and fenders on.... going to attempt to wire it next week.
