Get me a close up, I think I have something that is near perfect. I need pics of them with a rule next to it.

Shane

Shane,

Should be some usable pics of that rubber piece. Please let me know if the pics are what you need?

I gotta get those taillamp buckets stripped down, fixed, blasted and then I'll be sending your part back along with my junk for plating, hoping to get those stripped down this weekend. :D

Thanks, Matt

Sorry it took me so long to reply, it has been way to long ;) Spring came fast here and I've had to put in some long hard hours at work. Time I've got home the last couple days has been past 10 pm and I've been shot. So haven't had anytime to work on the lv, let alone check the thread.

So.............:flipoff2:

Quit whining and get after it!.............:flipoff2:

WE NEED OUR FIX!.........

1) you can move the wires on coil around on pick up to change the reading, but too complex to explain not showing one being done in person

2) I was planning on using a portion of fj40 fiberglass to metal hard top weather-strip

3) felts were made from a fj55 rear door felt cut 40/60 for one front and one rear door, don't know what to do now. exterior wiper was to be a late 1980's mini truck cut down. There were two styles, w/ vent window and without -find the ones with they are longer. A volvo one was really cool, but reaaaallly expensive used at wrecking yards

hth

Rick,

Just to clarify: Interior wipers your using FJ55 rear door fellt, sounds like I need 2 rear, that will do all of my interior doors?

On the late 80's mini truck long exterior wipers, do I need 4 to do all 4 exterior doors?

On question 2: The metal to hardtop weatherstrip wouldn't that be to wide?

Thanks, Matt

HUMMMMM, I don't know where this goes or how it is applied. So I will send you 30 feet and let you have fun with it.

Also, Can I get a pic of your glove box cover from the inside. Where the clip is.

Thanks

Shane,

There are 2 rubber pieces like that. They go in between the window frame and the door underneath the vent window......so 3 feet should be plenty :)

Glove box clip cover.....yes, I like it when I get parts from you :D

I also see the high beam indicator lense now, missed that, it will be changed.

Thanks, Matt

Snap me a pic of the inside of toy glove box door. Please

Also 10 pennies to aatlas1x@aol.com and I will post out the part I think might work for the windows.

He might be like me and busy with other stuff right now. I am working on my 40 / 45 / wifes truck / yard work right now.

Thats my story and i'm sticking to it.

Sorry about the delay in posts again. Spring has just came so quick, work is taking it's toll right now. Haven't had a chance to do anything until today. Pretty good day, several interuptions with various things, but overall a fairly productive day.

Started off by intalling my bear jaw latches and the stock door and window hardware. I didn't blast and paint any of that hardware because it wasn't to bad. I cleaned them all up in the parts washer and they all look ok. I guess I could have, but nobody's going to see that stuff anyway. Got the pics installed on the jams also and got all 4 doors closing nicely. With the weatherstripping on and those latches, it closes like a brandnew Toyota!! I can't believe how well they work, also with the interior door latch/spring hooked up they return and open nicely from the inside.....very, very, very happy how well the doors work! :)

Sandblasted my hinges and some interior door hardware for bump stops and the glass. I am missing one of the glass pieces for the tracks......Treeroot, see posts below for urgent parts request if possible. I need this one bad. :frown: I got the other stuff all blasted, epoxy primed and painted, might try throwing in some door glass tomorrow.

Also, about a month or so ago I ordered some samples from JC whitney for the window felt/track weatherstripping. I chose the one you see in the pics, seems to work very well. I did have the neighbor take a break from welding sheet metal in his 40 Ford pick up he's working on and give me a hand. He had to pull the weatherstripping as I pushed it in from the end. Pain in the ass, but we got it done and it looks perfect.

Installed a couple window frames in the doors for fun, have to come out for glass though.

Mike, or anyone for that matter. 2 pics below.

First one is the internal door window track/holders. I need the drivers side front door one. It may be the same as the passenger drivers side one, but not sure? I had all my hardware for each door individually taped together and could not find this one, I could have swore I had it, but it is no where to be found. If it turns up, which it may or may not, I will send one back, but can't guarentee that :frown:

2nd pic is of one of the window crank springs. I am missing the front passenger door spring. I think there all the same, but that is the one I am missing. If you have a spare, that would be awesome!!

Semlin emailed me today and the parts he got off the woods lv are on the way on Monday,

If you could spare anything Mike, please let me know, the window track one is semi-urgent since I would like the window in and the doors assembled before paint.

Thanks, Matt

PS, and if you had 1 extra interior door pull to spare. I only have 3, but I can keep moving without one of those....Thanks again.

I think I can find those parts for you. ;)

1 driver side front internal door window track/holders.

1 passenger door window crank spring.

1 interior door pull as in the handle you grab to shut the door? metal style/not the 67 plastic style?

Is the post office open Monday? Overnight or 3 day priority? :)
