Poser told me the exact same thing you said after I told him I wanted a lwb. I probably won't take it on long trips, but I might have to make a couple mods just to fit in it........I'm taller than you......much, much taller

I sell that stuff at my store. It's basicly bubble wrap with aluminum foil on each side. About a 1/4" thick, has about an R-11 value in a wall, that's pretty good for something that is a 1/4" thick. I also have it in my roof for headliner insulation, I got the idea from some hot rod mags, guys were using it in fancy street rods for heat and sound insulation.
The "Unleaded fuel only" sticker is one I plan on using on the lv

I was wondering if you were going to put cupholders on your console like a tuffy box. Good addition, plus yours has the built in heater. Very cool.
I never realized the LWB 45's were cramped inside. Maybe you should consider a Bandeirante double cab for your next rebuild. You could at least move the seat back far enough, and they look almost as cool as a LWB.

Slow day at work, gone all last weekend, decided to leave early today Knocking off early tonight to watch a movie with the wife.
Did today what I was planning on doing tomorrow. I sandblasted the hinges and door frames and also disassembled the cup holder, scuffed them up with a scotchbrite pad. Blasted the hinges and frames since they had all kinds of overspray and other marks on them, just easier to blast and prime bare metal.
Based the cup holders and lower hinges first, covered those up and sprayed everything else white. Hung the beige stuff back up and cleared everything. Turned out real nice, should be dry tomorrow.
Talked to my auto mechanic buddy today about wiring, I think I'm going to have to step up the pester factor a notch or 3??? He bought a new motorcycle and is going to be gone all day tomorrow to go get it.......Once he's on that thing I probably won't see him again ;p I did tell him that I might call him Saturday night and see how Sunday looks for him, he didn't say no so that's good.
I'm not sure what I will be doing tomorrow, I'm sure something will jump out at me........I might even fire up the airplane tomorrow afternoon and do a little low level re-con out over the lake

Plane sounds like a bad idea, work on the LV, make a couple dozen cruiserheads happy, think of the karma!
Matt, just one question for you,
How did you prep the fenders you got from Dan, I got the same ones for mine and need to put dome paint on here shortly.
Just looked back and seen you had not done that yet, how are you going to do it ?
Just scuff them a bit and shoot primer over that ?

I plan on running the DA completely over every sqare inch of them with 80 grit. Not looking to take that black primer off, but make sure they are completely scuffed with 80.
I am then going to shoot a couple coats of DP50LF epoxy on them, followed my 2 coats of ureathane primer. The epoxy is to seal any bare metal, the ureathane is for block sanding since epoxy primer doesn't sand worth a sh-t.
Of course the fenders are not dented, but they have some scratches. I think I should be able to sand out of the 2 coats of urethane and be fine, may have to shoot a couple more coats of urethane and sand out again, but I bet the first 2 will do it. After I'm done sanding 1 more top coat of DP50LF and then to paint.
I do plan on using that tintable SEM chub underneath the fenders first and then base/clear on the top side.
Might be painting fenders in a couple weeks?? Not sure yet?
