97 80 series FS in NorCal $6000. - SOLD!!!
I'm selling our 1997 80 series Cruiser as we have just purchased (upgraded) to a 100 series and couldn't convince the :princess: to let me keep both.
Truck is in good shape and would be a good vehicle to dedicate to offroading. I'm pretty sure we're the second owners, (carfax says 1 owner) and have had it for about 4 years. It has never been in any accidents. It has always been a California car. We bought it from Roseville Pontiac Buick GMC at 160K miles. Carfax shows it lived in Auburn until we bought it and took it to Gilroy, then up here, so there's no rust.
We did recently have some engine work done after hearing a loud rattle noise when driving up a hill and losing oil...

I'm looking for a 4runner with a removable top, fuel injected 4 cylinder, and 5 speed manual. First post on this incredible forum that I have often enjoyed reading. We make our home on the side of Flagstaff mtn in Boulder Colorado. We are just getting into Land Cruiser's and are looking for a our first trail rig.
We had a nicely built '95 Limited 4runner that we did some basic Off Road mods and had a blast driving. I used to race Mountain bikes and we used that truck to get us all over the west.
Unfortunately it made the ultimate sacrifice last year and saved my life last year. Got into some nasty black ice on HWY 93 went over a hillside rolled/flipped 3 times and walked away!
Needless to say my family will ONLY being driving in Toyota trucks from now on. Insurance was semi-kind to us but as you all know you never get...

Hey folks, I'm in the land of high priced SUV's. I'm looking for a 2000+ Landcruiser, after posting about it last year I'm finally getting around to it.
However, pricing in the Pacific NW is ridiculously high ti seems. I would like to stay around 21k or less, preferably much less. Everyone at the dealerships seems to want 25k plus. I kinda need to buy it through a dealership, since I got pre-approved with my loan that way, however I can probably have it switched to a private party deal without too much of a hassle. Anyhow, need to find the truck though!
I'll take an LX470 if need be, but I prefer the more simple styling of the cruiser.

I have own over a dozen land cruisers and I know what $ it takes to fix them

If you decide to keep it and make it run as good as it should:
Work needed:
1) Rebuild the carburetor/ check vacuum lines $300
2) trouble shoot the vibration in the drive train $150
3) rebalance wheels/ front end alignment $100
4) if vibration is in the output flange or u-joints $500
5) repair leak in exhaust manifold $600
6) repair front leaf springs $300
7) change all fluids in diff, tranny, T-case, engine $250
NOT to mention the many gaskets and seals that are leaking
Total cost to make vehicle drive normal----$2200

I have been looking for a few months and thought I'd see if anyone had a nicely cared for cruiser they were looking to pass on. I am looking for a late Fj80 or lx, under 100k, locked and in nice condition, if black, definitely a bonus, long shot, thought I'd check, I have put a couple of bids on cruisers on here, but most of the ones that are good seem to be on the west coast, and hard to compete when you've got to spend the extra money to ship
1990 FJ-62 with 189,000 miles. White with grey interior.
Runs and drives great most the time and has a miss sometimes.
Has a new set of 31/10.5/15 a/t radials and recent front brakes.
This cruiser has had the same Dallas owner since 1991.I have owned it only 4 months.The body is very straight and the original paint is good.The pass. front door has a few waves in it and the hood has a couple dings,but looks really good.
A/C is cold and heat is hot.The rear heat is great as well.

I'd like to find an HJ6x series truck parts truck located inthe NE USA or SE Canada - within decent driving distance of NY state. Best candidate has a shot body, frame and interior (except electrics) and can be had cheap... asking alot? Probably... but it's worth a shot.

Thought I would pass on the information. There is a BJ70 for sale in Conroe, TX (north of houston). It is an '87 and if memory serves it has has low mileage. I am not sure of the exact kilometers, but they were pretty low. It is also right hand drive. When I was looking, they wanted $14000. Wanted it for myself, but am not in a position right now, but it is shame to see it parked asking to be wheeled. I have a dilemma of sorts . I have to sell one of 2rigs . One being the trail rig that I have had for 12 years(7 of those years it was out by the rubicon). Now I have it back and after seeing the trails we have here now I don't want to put any more cash into it .I have about 14,000 to 17,000 into including the original buying price. I guess the time has come...I have decided to sell my
4runner. I don't really need the money so no low balls please. I'm the second owner and I've had it for about 7 years. Used it to get back an forth to school and then started building it the last couple years. It's not my daily driver so there are very few miles (less than 2000) on all the new parts. The truck itself has 125k on it. Truck is located in Kitty Hawk NC 27949.
I'll condsider trades preferably for something that could be used as a daily driver. Something that the heat works good in and is quiet.
