I'm trying a LS NV4500 swap with a 1978 Toyota FJ40 transfer case. Is the crossmember close to the center of the frame, the one with the hump in it, interfering with the rear of the transfer case emergency brake drum Does the crossmember have to be moved back a few inches? Or do I have to move everything foreword then I might be too close to the rad?

I dont run an LS, but run a sbc, NV4500 and stk 1 piece tcase. The po originally installed it a long time ago so it uses a longer adapter. Newer version adaptors are shorter. I dont understand what hump? If i were to do an LS or sbc/NV4500, I would run the later model stock split tcase. It offers more gearing options and is stronger. The end of the driveline is moved back and the engine placement will be moved forward and in my case shifted to the pass side. My shift tower hits the stk hole in the tranny hump. Your torque tube will likely be cut out.

This Hump, in the cross member. I think I have to move it back about 6 inches.
