see problemos. good rig, but cant swing the repairs and parts, must cut my losses. I'm done, somebody needs a good project $1200. I'm in san diego.

Head/ headgasket is what the mechanic is saying to the tune of $1500. Not rusty. I cant swing it. I'll try to post up pics tonight.

Selling an FJ because it needs a head gasket is like selling your dog because it needs shots. $1,500 is pretty steep estimate unless they are including the head being rebuilt. Get a hold of In2Cruisers in Sandy Eggo and do a weekend wrenching on your rig and fix the head gasket. If no machining work needs to be done it can be done easily in a day.
