Why does my 2013 LX570 fusebox look like this?

While in the process of troubleshooting an AHC system problem I came across this abnormality on my 2013 LX. Pictured below is my actual fuse box. The red circle indicates where the fuse box cover says an AHC relay should be:

Here is a picture I found on Ebay of a fuse box pulled from a wrecked 2013 LX570. Other pics I could find show the same configuration

I bought the vehicle from a dealer back in 2020 with 109K miles and have now been trying to troubleshoot an issue with my AHC detailed in this thread: 2013 LX 570 AHC issue - Code C1763 and Possible Missing AHC Relay? - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/2013-lx-570-ahc-issue-code-c1763-and-possible-missing-ahc-relay.1380151/

Ever since a sensor lift 50K miles ago (truck has 175K now) the AHC would work but the pump was running constantly trying to raise the truck. Pump finally quit a couple of weeks ago and I've been troubleshooting since (see thread). So while the AHC "worked" in this configuration I cant help but think my strange fuse box may have something to do with the issues I'm having.

If you guys were in my shoes would you change out the fuse box for one with a relay socket for an AHC relay? Could the existing fuse box be modified? The AHC fuse under the glove box is intact. Pretty please with sugar on top help me figure this out!

Your fuse box doesn't have the pinouts for the AHC relay?. Is a US spec LX?

You are also missing a brownish-red relay at the top, and a red fuse on the right.

Probably worth getting pictures of 08-11 and 16+ LX fuse blocks to see if there are similarities. Also LC, now that I think about it. Your block had to come out of something..

would you change out the fuse box for one with a relay socket for an AHC relay?
That's a lot of work and it doesnt' change the fundamentals of where you currently are. You had a working AHC pump despite where it might currently be connected. A constantly running pump would point me to start at the pump. Start by checking if you have power at the pump, if you do then start with a pump replacement. When there, I'd trace the pump power connector back to the current fuse panel to understand where it might be connected... that's much easier than swapping out a fuse panel. It's certainly an anomaly but not your cause.

Can you post a picture of your fuse box lid? Does the labeling match the fuse and relay arrangement?

Pump has been replaced and power to the new pump via direct 12 volt gets it going. Old pump did not actuate with direct 12v. I have a fuse box coming in tomorrow and will compare both. I dont like that there isnt a fuse or a relay for it despite it "working"

Someone swapped the old fuse box out at some point.

I would really want to know why. Though I admit that’s likely impossible to answer.

Whether there are modifications when you get it open should be a big clue.

It’s a two wire pump, so if it’s running constantly I’d be looking elsewhere in the circuit first.
