Let me warn you, this will be a very long and detailed story and build log on my Triple Locked 1997 80-Series LX450 Land Cruiser that just crested 149k on the odometer.
Here's a quick snapshot of its basic specs as purchased:
-Owned by wife of prominent executive and maintained to the highest standard by Lexus Dealer (documented). Traded back into the dealer and the Service Manager purchased it with the hopes his wife would use it in lieu of a mini-van. She wasn't impressed. Next owners bought it 8/2015 with 123,214 miles and they did all the work on it.
-Champagne Pearl Exterior w/ Tan Leather Interior - Beautiful Condition.
-Zero rust issues, never driven in winter on salted roads - lived in Wichita, KS.
-Owner's Manuals, Books, etc...
Hello there! Looking to sell my 96 Land Cruiser that I bought just about 2 years ago.
234xxx miles
ARB front bumper, DC sports rear bumper and a rhino rack
Reupholstered seats up front by PO rest of the seats look good, could be cleaned.
Some rust around the rear window on the hatch but have another hatch from a LX450 that will come with the cruiser.
Bearings in the power steering pump are starting to whine, have a replacement one but just haven't gotten around to it.
Passenger side seat does not move and the window works when it wants to.
Tires JUST passed PA state inspection (2/32) so those will need to be done here soon.

1996 Lexus LX450
This is a sound truck, 5000 miles ago I had my mechanic go through the entire drive train. The only thing that needed changed was a few seals and one wheel bearing.
The front seats need recovered but the rest of the interior is in good shape.
I replaced the AC compressor about 5000 miles ago and it works well. The body has some rust but nothing bad.
It has the factory center dif locks as well as all factory options available that year.
This truck has never been off-road and most all of the miles are highway, business miles.

Newer paint, front leather seats, window tint. Roof rack and light bars are super light weight and removable. The wheel fenders have been removed and painted by body shop to make it look more South American. Brakes received service, ac serviced, fresh oil. Well maintained, can be driven as your daily.
I stumbled upon this LC online - seems like a good deal at $2999. I have no connection or experience with this dealer, so good luck!

I bought this Cruiser (Lexus 450) a few months back from a fellow Mud member who built it. I had another 97 Cruiser that was moderately modified and we had good intentions of using this one in a similar fashion. Unfortunately, we were extremely busy this summer and didn't get to use it or work on it and ended up taking our '98 100 series Cruiser instead. I have also come to the conclusion that given our usual camping situation, this is probably not the ideal vehicle. Typically we camp in a fifth wheel trailer that leaves my wife driving the second vehicle. While I have no doubt the three link front suspension will be a significant upgrade off road, it does have its trade-offs on the highway at higher speeds. To be fair, I drove it...
