The good: This rig is totally built. Triple locked, slee 6" lift. With the exception of the winch (explanation below) she's ready to go. I just replaced the inner axle seals (so no birf soup), and in the process inspected the other seals, bearings, bushings, and birfields - no signs of wear. This Cruiser is in great mechanical shape, with many upgrades, and has been well maintained for the last few years that I've owned it. I have owned this car for 11 years. It has been a great vehicle and a blast to drive.
Unfortunately, I am unable to keep up with the repairs and the time has come to pass it on to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have (and potentially restore it).
The body is still in pretty good condition. There are a few rust spots on the rear hatch, driver's side doors, and a couple of dings in the hood.
The tires only have a few hundred miles on them.
Brand New Brakes! Including master cylinder, brake lines, pads, rotors (which I needed to do in order for it to be test driven).

Is there anyone close to Northbrook, IL who can go check this one out? Seems like it's in pretty good shape. I'm a little wary of the "frame and undercarriage washed scraped and rust proofed." I've been talking to the guy and he's done all the work himself, down to welding the NWTI bumpers together.
I've been negotiating with him a bit, but would love some constructive opinions, especially first hand ones.
I am selling my 1995 FZJ80. I love the truck and it has no issues, but I am trying to consolidate down to one vehicle that gets better gas mileage. I bought it stock from Ohio in OCT 2015 and shipped it to FL where I was living. Now I am living in Harrisburg, PA. Clean title and I have it in hand.
Quick run down of maintenance and upgrades since I bought it:

Just checking the value of this prior to making an offer. It appears to be in good cosmetic condition with no rust on the body, and the regular "Japanese goo" they spray on all imports prior to importation. No visible rot. The truck has about 100,000 (unconfirmed) miles (yes miles but speedo is KM) and has the factory 3F-E engine. It is right hand drive. Interior looks near mint.
The chassis number is FJ80-0019842 and I can't find any auction info without buying a report. Does anyone know a way to check this? What would you value this truck at?
Also, If you're a purist you probably hate the clear tail lights. These bring some nostalgic memories back for ne however.

I looked for a long time for this LC. It is full locker. I added the Center Diff switch. I bought it with 190,000 miles from the original owner who always took care of it. It now has 215,000 miles. I did not use it much in the last 3 years, approx. 25k miles. I bought it thinking I would need it for use at my cabin in Joshua Tree. I have realized I do not need this serious of a rig. I am afraid to damage it.
I took it to Valley Hybrids in Stockton for $3500.00 worth of service. George is the best. He did full brakes. Full front diff and rear diff service. Inspected and lubed the front birfield joints.
