1981 Canadian BJ60 for sale. Asking $7,500 CAD. Runs and drives great, but the body is rusted out and the frame is also not in great shape. Truck has been in dry storage for the last two years. Here is a short list of what has been done:
3b diesel engine (Engine is from a 40 series with unknown mileage. It fired up first crank when I bought it, and compression was even across the board, which is why I put it into this truck).
Brand new Garrett turbo (less than 25,000km) with home-made exhaust manifold

My wife is selling her 84 FJ60 around 150k miles interior is in excellent condition no rust on the truck paint extremely faded. The motor does need to be rebuilt or swapped has 0 PSI on number 6 cylinder and low on a couple of others from what we can remember it did start and run to put on the car hauler when we moved to AZ but do not have time to dig into the motor to find out if it is just a head gasket or entirely new rebuild. Motor/transmission/xfer case pulled and resealed @ 245K New brake master cyl, rear wheel cyls, new 4runner front calipers. New pads and shoes. Tank pulled/boiled/sealed. New clutch PP/throwout brg. New master/slave cylinder. All rubber hoses replaced. (Brake, clutch, coolant, heater) Radiator cleaned and new water pump installed. Motor was desmogged. Pulled vanes out of airpump. Greetings all. I am considering selling my one owner fj62 and was wondering what a fair price would be. It is in excellent original condition, with the exception of an ome 2-3 inch lift. 66k original miles, no rust. original gray paint and interior. Dash and seats are like new. Has aftermarket front seats but original seats and leaf springs will be included. All books, keys and original window sticker. Some stone chips on front and a front winch. I have an 89’ Land Cruiser RHD with a 2H Diesel Motor and 5 speed H55F transmission for sale. Sold Up for sale is my 1985 BJ60 Toyota Land Cruiser originally from Canada. It has the factory 3b 4 cylinder Diesel engine with H55 5 speed manual transmission. These diesels are known to run forever and this one is no exception. If it’s cold outside you will have to cycle the glow plugs a few times. That said it will start, idle, run and drive and stop. It actually seems to be a pretty decent driver given the age of the vehicle. It has old man emu suspension on it but only has 31” tires. I do have videos of it running and driving down the road. This rig is no longer for sale, but there's no option for 'giving up'. We're going to lose the body and do something else with chassis and drivetrain.
Asking $14,500 for a well maintained 62 with 337k miles... I'm curious for everyone's input if this in unrealistic. I purchased through BAT in 2018 for $9,100 and have put quite a bit into it. I know vehicles tend to sell at a premium on BAT just not sure by how much. Spent most if its life in California with a few years in New Jersey. Let me know if you have any questions. Only trying to sell because my commute increased by about 80 miles round trip and this needs to become my daily driver so I was looking for a few more safety features for the kids.

Listing up my 83 FJ60. I've had this for 2 years and its been great for me. PO had a ton of work done to it and I have done several things as well. It has served me well as a daily driver and an adventure vehicle. Moved out to Texas this year and picked up something that will tow the boat and horse trailer. My 1988 FJ62 (4.0L 3FE/Auto) failed Colorado emissions. The rabbit hole to fix the emissions problem uncovered cylinder 5 is functioning with 35lbs of pressure (should be at 150lbs). I would have had no idea that I was short a cylinder had I not failed emissions. The truck drives no different. That's why they say "If you want to go into [insert somewhere nasty] take a Land Rover. If we want to get back out, take a Land Cruiser." Head and valves are great. Problem came down to piston rings, which at that point makes sense to do a rebuild

It failed emissions because it was running very rich. Cylinder 5 was just pumping out unspent fuel. The problem needs boring and upsized pistons...
