This is NOT my vehicle. Just stopped at the Toyota dealership (Cedar Rapids Toyota) to pick up belts for my new 93 80 and got to talking with the salesperson. She mentioned they just got in an "older Land Cruiser". She brought it around. I drove it and it runs good. Carb needs adjusting or cleaning but runs good. Rides solid like a 60.
There is some minor surface rust underneath but not horrible. Needs a little TLC but would be a fun DD. Unfortunately I just bought the 93 so I'm not in the market even though I want it really bad.
They are asking $9900 but she is going to call me with what they will let it go for. If you are interested I will PM you her contact info.

Hi I have bought this 84 FJ60 from a fellow Mudder here in North Texas last month thinking I would use this LHD 60 and put in the 12HT from my rhd HJ61.
The longer I look at it the more I think it is not the right Cruiser for me to invest this kind of money on so I am moving on,putting the 12HT in my 45 and trying to get rid of this FJ60!
It is a Texas Cruiser so no rust but the po wheeled it and did not baby it.About 4 years ago he put on a new OME suspension kit and a rear ARB locker just to have the 2F crap out on him.He bought a 2FE motor from another LSC member but sadly never finished the wiring and some other details up.

This is a great project truck for someone. Already has an ARB bumper, Warn winch, Old Man Emu suspension. The speedo cable broke a couple years back so the 176 on the odometer is off. It has 80 series wheels with 1.5" spacers and 35" tires and a full size matching spare. A few rust spots on the rain gutter but nothing too serious. I also have a defender rack for it. The transmission is starting to give me a little trouble going into 2nd gear. I am the 3rd owner of this bad boy and it started out as my daily driver, I have had it about 9 years and it has been my toy for the last 5. Asking $6000, PM me for questions.

89 fj62. 204k miles. Shackle reversal and lift springs. Not sure of age of springs, 33" bfg muds aftermarket 16" wheels, trany cooler installed, rebuilt driveshafts. front not installed yet new hardware included. Lots of maintence done over the past year I've owned it. I have receipts. It's my DD and has been since day 1, runs great! Small rust spots, manageable I believe. No front bumper.

Looking for a rust free 62. Nothing too picky other than the body and frame being in good shape as well as the mechanics. I am willing to travel to find the right cruiser but it needs to be able to drive home to Colorado. I would prefer original interior pieces but audio will be swapped anyways so that's not too big a deal. This is something that will be used for off-roading and camping (towing my small army trailer w/ rtt) but would still need to be a weekend family hauler around town and down the interstate and over mountain passes. If it already has bumpers, suspension, ~33" tires that's cool too. Also doesn't need to have original drivetrain. Perfectly happy taking a v8 or diesel swap and something with an h55 or other manual trans...
Well everyone the time is right for me to let go of what is left of my 85' 60. I posted up in the parts section but haven't had much luck. Since I'm trying to sell the whole ball of wax at once I thought I put it up in this section. I purchased her in 2001 and she served me well until I fell in love with a pristine 87' 60 that only had 140K miles on it about 2 years ago.
I have sold or pilfered almost everything off of her except for all the sheet metal and the rolling chassis underneath the sheet metal and the dash. The truck was a California/Oregon truck it's whole life so has very little to no rust. It w ould be the good start of a project. I'm asking 2K but will listen to OBO's. I have the title in hand.

I think the time has come for me to put this truck up for sale. The truck came from the west coast originally and lived in CA and then UT before a trip back to the east coast. This cruiser is really well sorted out. It could use a paint job, however the body is rust free (little surface spots only no rot) The frame is also cancer free surface rust only. Details.
