Socal: 1971 FJ40 (Sale or trade for 60 or 80 series)
Hi all, Due to our growing family, I need to sell my beloved FJ40 and pick up a 60 or 80 series. I have owned her for five years and have completed many updates to make her safer, more reliable and a stronger performer. Not sure if I'm over or under pricing, but based off my investment and what I see on the market, I'm looking to get $10k out of her. The Good: - Rebuilt entire powertrain (less than 1,500 miles) including engine, 3spd transmission with new clutch, differentials, axles and transfer case - Retrofitted to power disc brakes on all four tires - New wheel bearings throughout, rebuilt knuckles - Installed power steering with Saginaw pump (3 on the tree with power steering is pretty sweet and rare) - New parking brake...

LOUISVILLE, ky. FJ40
Please call with questions. (502)322-0502. 4 spd, 3:73 gears, 2f motor. Old man emu lift, bilstein shocks, 33x9.50 BFG tires. I have a ton of work and money in this truck. I stopped counting at $40,000. It’s in daily driver condition, and I drive it often. I’m moving (building a new house and shop) and need money as well as parking spaces. I’m also selling 2 project vehicles- I can only take 1 fun car to the new place. Pics tell the story, call with questions - it’s super clean and one of the nicest in my area. Mud will only allow me to post 5 pictures. I guess if interested call and I’ll get you more. $35,000 firm - no haggling. If I can’t get that I’ll keep it.
Like the title says, I’m in western WA and I’m looking for a 40. Never have owned one and never drove one either. I’m looking for something that is rust(rot) free. Patina is fine, preferred really just don’t want to patch holes or do body work. I’m a pretty good mechanical person. I’m ok if it needs drivetrain or suspension work. I like the stock look and ride height. Not looking to spend more than $18k. Would rather stay local to the PNW. Thanks everyone!
1972 FJ40, non-running project, plus parts vehicle, plus trailer BUMP-New Price
SOLD FOR 3900$ For some this is redundant info..... Bought a bunch of FJ40s from an east Texas body shop. Elderly gent was getting out of the business. Most of the vehicles were nothing more than rusted out carcasses.....some weren't, this is the last of that bunch. 1972 sky blue. Non-running. Story was that it developed a rod knock, PO started to repair, parked it and there it sat for 20 years. So I have not attempted to turn engine, lets assume it is locked up and internally rusted etc..... has rust in all the normal places: floors, rear sill etc.... as seen in pictures. One place that I was surprised to see rust is where the top meets the bed, reference pics. It has period correct bench seat (not sure of year on seat)...

One of a kind 1976 FJ40 - LS, Atlas, Dynatrac D60, 14 Bolt, King Coilovers, 40s, Hutchinson Beadlock
Selling my newly finished baby....so that my family can afford to have another real baby : ) 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 | eBay From my ebay ad: I am a senior professional mechanical engineer and have spent the last few years designing and building this one of a kind 1976 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40. Every detail has been meticulously fabricated with the best hardware available. Unforeseen family financial circumstances force the sale but the truck is titled, plated, and has approximately 600 street miles on it. I have only taken it off-road once for light shake down purposes but it is Rubicon/Fordyce ready and will make someone very happy. The truck cruises comfortably at 80mph down the highway and has tons of power/torque on tap...
1971 FJ40 For Sale
I'm looking to find my 1971 FJ40. I added this one to my "collection" so I could build one with each of my sons. Times change and so have their interests, so I've moved on to a UZJ 100 series that's more family oriented. While this isn't as impressive a vehicle as some of the builds on here (shout out to all of you on here that share...it's been a great help!), it has a lot of potential and is a good start. It's a 1971 FJ with a SBC 350 (5.3 liter V8). I'm not sure of the mileage on the engine but it runs well. I had a problem with the started a while back that ended up being the flywheel (the teeth were breaking off). That definitely had to be remedied, so the FJ now has new Flywheel, Clutch Pressure plate and clutch. The body...
I'm looking for a possible project vehicle. Looking mainly for a body and a frame to build a linked offroader with, as I have axles and will be doing an engine/tranny swap. I'd prefer if there is not a ton of rust, I'd really like to not have to do a tub swap or a ton of panel replacement. Something like this (For Sale - 1976 FJ40 project) would be really great. A price between $0(ha)-$5000 would be nice. Thanks, DJ

Sold* I have a 1973 toyota fj-40 land cruiser. The car comes as a roller. The engine and trans were removed to do a ls, but most of the rest of the car is there. The car comes with a California pink slip on non op. come with full hardtop, all glass, full doors, and rear ambulance doors. The fj has a gas tank skid, 33s, rancho shocks, and warn locking hubs. Its decently clean, no sign of bondo, its mosly free of rust other than the back under the ambulance doors. Throw a junkyard 5.3&trans in and it would be a cool little rig $4500 Contact me at rlargarticha@gmail.com
Sandy OR, nice '74 decent price, not mine
Not mine. Sweet looking rig. Not a jackass asking price. (And just noticed this is the same rig @777Gage posted about). https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/d/sandy-toyota-land-cruiser-fj40/7036265446.html For when the ad goes away: "1974 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, all original, straight six with brand new starter, 4 speed and 4 wheel drive. This cherry little thing is in very good shape, runs and drives well with center console and has been kept for many years as a family's hunting rig and has an auxiliary rear fuel tank! (That is very hard to find and is expensive to add). Rear jump seats, rear heater, rear hatch with barn doors. Nice wheels with near, almost new deep lug tires that will be great for going off road or around town...
Hey y'all. Looking for a cheaper 40 that runs and drives and is overall unmolested. Trying to spend no more than $10k. It seems like the market is either $1500 junk piles or $50k fully restored Cruisers... I want something that I can wrench on and fix up and mall-crawl with and not worry about getting dirty so if it belongs at a car show I don't need to be anywhere near it. No preference on year, body rust is fine as long as the holes aren't too big, engine swaps are tolerable if the price is right, BJ40 would be cool but I'm open to anything. I also have a work buddy who has a bug for one (alright, I gave him the bug and he gave it back to me) and his budget might be a bit higher for one that is more turn-key. We'll definitely...
Not mine but I work at the dealership. It was trade in locally and the previous owned states that the vehicle has 56k miles on it however we do not have any documentation of that. Selling price is $29,900. Please let me know if you are interested. You can call or text me at 919-649-4938. The vehicle is in the showroom parked next to a 2020 LC200. Thanks..
