The fj40 will be going to a new home in PA this Saturday, thanks for all the interest by my fellow mud members, yes the new owner saw her here. I am glad she is going to someone that will appreciate her.

Unfortunately with life's twists and turns I am in placed in the position that I need to sell my FJ40.
It is a 76 with older doors (vent Windows), a OM 617 swap, lift w/33x10.5 BFG Mud Terrain KM2's. It currently has a oem style soft top on real-steel bows and barn door rear doors. I also will include the original Hardtop w/ambulance doors. It is located in Wilmington De. I am looking to get $10,000 but am open to any serious offers. If interested please pm me and I will provide more details, i.e pictures, contact number etc..

What model OM 617 did you swap in there? Any history known on the engine?

It is 84 out of a 300m, picked up in a swap from a guy that was planning on doing another swap into a Toyota truck.swaped a LQ4 6 liter that I had built for another project. New timing chain, rebuilt injectors and cleaned up.

nice looking 40... Would love to have engine setup in mine... GLWS!

Sent PM. Brand new to the forum. Don't own an FJ yet but working hard on it. If possible please PM me your contact info. I'd like to call you to learn more. I haven't been the same since selling my 76 Bronco 4 years ago and looking forward to owning an FJ!

I believe I responded back to new requests, if not let me know please.

Uses canister, pull the top and swap out, no fuss, no mess. Located back upper corner drivers side ( stock Mercedes filter/ housing)

Hi, I know this thread has been dormant for 8 years (!) but I wondered if you (FJmoneypit) recalled how you handled mounting the oil cooler from the OM 617? Did you use the Mercedes radiator so the oil cooler would sit side-by-side like it does in the Mercedes? Something else? Thanks for any info you've got.
