Been looking (like everyone else) for an FJ40 up to 1975 (ca smog of course) that is mostly stock and complete, isn't hacked or totally rusted out. I see lots of CA folks on here so I'm hopeful! Would like to stay under 15k if possible. I've driven to look at some and it has been discouraging...owners misrepresenting their rig is a pain. Thank you.

It’s time to get another FJ40. It’s been too long. I want a project, as I can’t afford a finished rig. I understand the limitations on a price point around $3500.
Ideally I would like the rig to have something positive(not rotting, running, frame solid, etc). I do want a hard top. Prefer a ‘76 or newer due to the disc brakes but understand I can’t be picky.
I’ve searched the Facebook market place as much as I can by moving the search area around with little results. For the right rig I’ll travel the distance needed. Ideally 7-8 hours one way from mid-MO.

I have a really nice easy project for sale. Building a house and not going to get to it for a while and the funds could be helpful.
I have a 1969 FJ40 with a 2F and 4spd. Strong running engine.
Could use some carb work.Takes a bit to start it when it’s cold.
Brakes work but are a little sensitive and lock up if you press to hard. Headlights don’t work. Minor electrical.
Instrument cluster is pretty rough. Factory good used one included. Rides a little rough. New lift springs and shocks included.
Windshield cracked and gasket leaks.
Rear jump seats need bolted in. Aftermarket rollbar in the way.
Minimal rust for the year. Solid floors.
Worst is beneath rear doors.
It has a really nice strong winch.

Selling a 1973 FJ40 with the original engine and 3 speed on the floor. The truck was from Alabama and has a good patina to it. I believe it was originally dune beige and someone painted red over the exterior and blue on the interior. I was going to remove the red paint down to the original dune beige paint but I like the way the paint looks. The truck does not run. The body has a spot of rust on the driver side cowl in the front of the rocker panel, spot under the gas tank, and 2 small spots on the rear sill. The body and frame are in good shape since the truck was not from New Jersey. Truck comes with front doors, rear half barn doors, factory gas tank, bumperettes, soft half doors, extra pair of 75-84 front doors, pair of ambulance...

Was my Daily drive this summer and fall, runs drives and stops as it should.
Brand New BFG 35 12.50 R15 with less than 300 miles

Had a OM617 Mercedes (luke at 4x4labs) sin it took it out to put a new clutch in, then I was think maybe I swap a 4.3 or SBC in it for more power. We bought a farm since then and I have no time for this Cruiser.

Just moved to CO from CA for a new job that is taking all my time (yes, even w/ COVID) so I am selling my ’72 Landcruiser w/ Chevy 350 & TH350 automatic transmission conversion. I no longer have the time to work on it & would like for someone to take over the project.
Motor is in good shape and runs well (carburetor needs adjusting for CO altitude). All cylinders tested good compression. Some vibration during acceleration. Ride is a little rough. Haven't had time to figure out all the issues. Has power steering. 35” tires.
There is still work to be done. Many of the gauges don’t work and some other little stuff, but, overall a good rig. Probably 85% of the way there.

Cool old barn find Toyota Land Cruiser with plow. Was told it runs the pump on the carb didn’t work so a shot of gas and it would fire and run good, also was told it had no brakes but it comes with a brand new master cylinder. For sale is a 98% rust free Sky blue 1973 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser with an original 66,000 miles. Only rust is very small area under spare tire holder rear passenger side and one pea-sized hole on passenger floorboard.
Folks I have owned many of these cool cruisers and this one is the nicest original I have ever laid hands on. The patina along has a cool factor not to mention there isn't a single dent or even a door ding on this one. Never any paint work, no bondo etc. I'm 3rd owner was purchased new out of Wichita, KS first owner had it up until 2012!
Only areas of concern are radio slot was slightly cut. someone at one time had a padlock added to glovebox door..... Also distributor has been upgraded!
