I'm installing a Dakota Digital gauge cluster in my 1980 BJ41. The installation has been pretty straightforward, but I've run into one issue: my high beams no longer work.
They worked perfectly before the install. As soon as I removed the high beam wire from the factory round plug, they stopped working.
I remember reading that on certain model years you need to add a ground or make a wiring change for the high beam indicator circuit, but I can't find that post again.
Has anyone run into this on a 1980 BJ41 or know what I need to do to get the high beams working again? Any advice would be appreciated.
