The original engine conversion was completed by a previous owner. During my ownership, I invested in having the truck professionally sorted by 4x4 & More in Durango, a respected local shop. They dialed in the engine swap, refined the power steering system, installed the four-wheel disc brake conversion, and upgraded the radiator. The result is a classic Land Cruiser that is much more enjoyable and confidence-inspiring to drive than a stock 1970 model.

The frame is solid with only surface rust. The body presents well, the interior is clean and comfortable, and the truck has been dependable throughout my ownership with no mechanical breakdowns.

The odometer currently reads approximately 93,732 miles, but the speedometer/odometer is not working, so true mileage is unknown.

Why I'm Selling

I am selling because life and circumstance have shifted and I can no longer safely transfer my son, who uses a wheelchair, into the vehicle.

This FJ40 isn't perfect, it is not all original, and it is not a show car. It's an honest, dependable classic that's been thoughtfully upgraded for real-world driving while retaining the character that makes these Land Cruisers so special.
