Up for sale is my 1974 Toyota FJ40. I have been working on this rig for about 6 months now and I have ran out of money. I need to sell A.S.A.P. The body has been gone through, new paint, Sherwin-Williams : paint code#7924, with Sherwin-Williams Performance Plus Clear Coat : Code #CC940, new LineX, new seat covers, all parts have been sandblasted and painted or powder coated. This Cruiser had a frame-off reconstruction in 1998. This Cruiser has custom long springs from Alcan (5" lift), Shackle Reversal in the front. I am helping out a someone sell their 1981 Toyota Landcruiser BJ40 which has the 3b diesel engine in it. The Landcruiser was purchased by the present owner in 1991, and has been used in the past for traveling and fun. Currently it has been used on the homestead as the workhorse/tractor, and has not been insured for a few years. The vehicle needs a new home.
The engine and transmission run well, and have been regularly serviced. Restore it, use it as a parts vehicle, give it a little TLC and you decide what you want to do with it. The vehicle comes with the hard top, seats, and everything else seen in the pictures including the factory Toyota service manuals...
I have a 12/74 FJ40 that I had dreamed of turning into the ultimate hunting rig but uncle sam say's its time to go and I can't bring her with.

1977 FJ40. It has seen better days. It does not have any doors or seats. The hard top is from a 1970 so it doesn't fit correctly. The rain gutter has some rust on the inside, but may be salvageable. The body is junk. The gas tank leaks. Believe it or not, it does run. The roll bar is in pieces in the back. The frame is marginal. It has a good disc brake front axle. It's located in Southern NH right off exit 3 on Rte. 95. $500 takes it.

lots of extra parts, work is above top notch, its rolling on 37 mtrs, and almost ready for paint. over 15,000 invested and a ton of time, $12,000. come take a look, you could literally eat off this thing.

I have a 1996 4Runner Limited with a fresh engine, 60K, that I'm thinking of putting up for trade for a rust free FJ40. Well, as close to rust free as possible. Looking for a mildly built rig, stock motor and drive train that would make a good DD. I live in Louisville, KY and would gladly drive @ 200 miles to trade.
The 4Runner has 215K on the body, 60K on new engine, new radiator, AC evaporator, console swap, TJM T-15 bumper, bone stock but runs, drives and shifts like new.
There's nothing wrong with it, I just have the FJ40 bug now.

Complete rebuilt never fired TBI 5.7 engine w/new howell wire harness, complete rebuilt never used SM 465 trans, New never used Marlin Crawler w/ final drive 119:1, P/S, spring over,shackle reverse,custom roll cage,front ARB air locker, rear Lock Right.
I have all the body parts and most of all the other parts to get it running. Engine and trans are mounted in frame.

This 1974 cruiser has a 2f engine and transmit ion from a 1987 Fj60.
The engine is running rough, (I don't know exactly what is wrong) but the transmission is running great. It has lots of brand new original Toyota parts... fuel pump, starter, water pump, and a brand new Weber carb, never used. It has 33 inch mud tires. I hate to let it go, but I just don't have the time to work on it.
I am in Northwest Florida.
