1978 FJ40 from OR , in my garage for 7 years , in the previous owner's garage 36 years . 84k original miles. I have the classified ad the previous owner answered to buy it in 1980 $5,800. I repainted most of the body. Very little rust , still some surface rust on the front fenders under the hood. I replaced the bib as it was rusty. Needs final assembly but not much left. This is a 1973 FJ40 project, located in south western Colorado (Ridgway). Colorado title. It starts and runs, but is definitely a project rig and needs tinkering/adjusting. I bought this from the second owner in Maine back around 2006 with the intention of building it into a trail rig. I eventually sold it upon moving to Colorado then bought it back about a year ago. This rig has not been on the road/registered for at least a decade or so. Had this FJ40 for 12 years. Bought from a local seller that had purchased in Arizona and brought to San Diego. Have had it serviced at the Truck Shop (TLC specific mechanic) in SD the entire time. Have receipts for literally everything done. Chevy 350 SB engine - V8 - runs well. No smoke. Starts up no issues. 4-speed and minimal surface rust, mostly rust free. Unsure when the SB got swapped. Painted original beige color 5 years ago, paint is holding up well. Tires at 95% tread. Will post more photos when the lighting is better outside. Asking $30k OBO
