1978 Land Cruiser BJ40 - project - REDUCED
New walk-around video: For sale is a 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ40. Nearing the end of a long restoration, the BJ40 dropped about half the compression in one cylinder. While the vehicle starts and runs, that cylinder needs to be examined and repaired. Otherwise, as described below, the BJ40 is in near perfect condition – excellent exterior, spotless interior, everything functional, and with lots of upgrades. The odometer reads 67K kilometers (~42K miles), which the original owner claims is the true mileage (and is the mileage on the title) but the total mileage is unknown to me. I wish I could finish this cool project but I am moving and can't take it with me. I have a clean Florida title in my name. Please read the entire website...

1976 FJ40 Hard top and ambulance doors Charlotte N.C.
The hard top is in really great condition no rust but they did paint the fiberglass top. All hardware is stainless steel and will include weather stripping for the windshield frame. Ambulance doors are in great shape all OEM hardware and no major dent or dings. The driver side door has a little rust starting to form but other than that they are in great shape. Not sure of what the pricing should be so I am putting $2000.00 for everything and I am willing to negotiate on the pricing . I would also be willing to do partial trade for a factory soft top BOWS or a soft top.
Fj40 wanted
Hello, I'm looking for an Fj40. My first vehicle was a 1970 in dune beige. Sold it when we had kids, dogs, etc. Now I'm retired and want another one. I'm looking for one that's as original as possible. Years 1968 to 1978. I like the ambulance doors, but pre 1975 gets me away from the Oregon smog requirements. Three on the tree is fine. No V8 conversions, no highly modified wheelers. Tasteful upgrades like power steering, disc brakes are acceptable. Don't need AC as whenever it's warm enough for that, the top will be off. Will be mostly used for putzing around in nice weather, picking up cute girls and beer runs. 😉 No hard core wheeling. My biggest limitation is, it needs to be freeborn red. I've always wanted a...
Los Angeles: 1977 FJ40 Mustard Yellow - Passes CA Smog - Luigi
All - it's time to let Luigi go to a new owner. I've been jonesing for a 62 all winter, and while this has been a joy to work on, I need to make room for a new potential project. I've posted this on CL locally in case someone isn't on Mud. I'm good to have a conversation with fellow Mudders if you're interested. I purchased this from a gentleman who had this as a stalled father-son project. He had purchased it from his cousin, who evidently had driven it sparingly. Always a southern California truck. Body is in great condition, and aside from the annoyingly trimmed fenders the body is in as good a shape as you will find on these rigs. Fortunately, all parts were there and in good working order. First item on the list was to get the 2F...
Fort Valley, GA: 1972 Toyota FJ40 Trail Rig/Rock Crawler
If you're in the market for a cushy mall crawler to take your gam-gam to Sunday brunch, this ain't the vehicle for you! This 1972 Toyota FJ40 is the real deal, folks. It's old school, it's loud, it's raw and it's slow, but it's awesome! It's got a lifted heavy duty suspension, full roll cage, on-board air compressor, heavy duty axles with a front locker, brand new 33" tires, a WARN winch, auxiliary lights, low range transfer case, and more. It's not completely without creature comforts, as it does have power steering, an easy hydraulic clutch, a heater and lockable storage in the tailgate. The vinyl seats are weatherproof and in great condition. The 4.2L inline 6-cylinder engine is equipped with headers and mated to a 4-speed manual...
1976 FJ40 for Sale - $22K obo
Up for sale is my 1976 FJ40. I have owned the truck almost 7 years. Clean title in my name. I'm sad to see her go, but I no longer have a garage to keep her in and work on her. This rig is turn key. Originally yellow, the previous owner powder coated the frame and repainted the rig with a very unique and head turning green, that changes to purple and grey depending on how the sunlight is hitting the paint. The frame is 100% rust free. The body is in excellent condition except for the passenger side rocker which sustained some minor damage on the Rubicon Trail. Interior is in excellent shape. I installed a rear bench seat and seat belts. Front seats are original leather in great condition (one seam tear on drivers side about 3" long)...

This thing is pretty much stuck in all original. I could put some gas in the carburetor and it will start other than that it’s been sitting since 1996 and it’s going to need the gas tank clean probably the carburetor rebuild and I’m sure there’s more. So no, it does not run and drive. Clean title in hand with a current non op. $8500
Hello. I've done the project thing and I just don't have time for it. I know I'll pay more for a completed truck, but I'm ready to do that. What I really want is no to little rust, complete truck that I could drive while improving this and that a little at a time. I know, everyone wants this scenario. Not looking for original other than an uncut body. Every time I see and original truck I think it would be a shame to drop a diesel engine in that. Budget is up to 35k. I think this is pretty close to ideal but I can't afford it and I don't think it's really for sale anymore: For Sale - British Columbia: 1981 BJ42 Beautiful Resto-Mod - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/british-columbia-1981-bj42-beautiful-resto-mod.1160309/

1973 Landcruiser FJ43 Non US
Hi, I’m selling my 1973 FJ43 that I imported from Colombia while I was working there. I had the vehicle inspected by California DMV and CHP and submitted all the paperwork. I was issued plates and registration and was told it would take a few weeks to get the title. Last week I received all my paperwork and a letter requesting additional information regarding a Manufacturer letter for compliance with U.S. Emission and CA emission. I’m done trying to get this done and I just want to sell the car. I hope someone else knows an easier way to accomplished this. I had a lot of work done to the vehicle, not perfect as it was not professionally done. I just installed 4 new tires KUMHO Road Venture AT52 31 X 10.5 R15LT 109S. Vehicle still needs...
