Hi everybody!
First, thanks to all the people that share tons of good information, news, and ideas on this forum—you guys rock. My name is Rommel Svelti, writing from the Dominican Republic, and this beauty in the picture attached is the all-new-to-me 2013 Lexus X570 (the L is missing from the badge, 😂) which we have officially named "The Golem".
This is a Gulf / Export Spec version, which has a few differences compared to the standard US-spec models. The most notable advantage to me is the factory gas tank packing a massive total capacity of 138 Liters or roughly 36.4 Gallons. This completely caught me off guard; the very first time I drove to the gas station with a quarter tank remaining, I asked the attendant to fill it up, and it swallowed nearly 27 gallons. I almost had a heart attack right there at the pump! I am stepping into this platform after parting ways with a mildly modified 2006 Nissan Xterra 4x4, an overland machine that I absolutely loved, but I must admit that this J200 chassis is on an entirely different level regarding engineering, comfort, and logistical capabilities.

When I pulled it out of the dealer in late March, the odometer read just over 153,000 kilometers, which translates to a ~95,000 miles on the clock. It is currently sitting at 156,000 kilometers. During our initial deep inspection in the garage, we mapped out a few repairs that needed attention. First, the electronic 4x4 Actuator is currently non-operational, meaning 4LO is not working properly. On the bright side, the fuel management mapping on the highway is phenomenal, consistently delivering 20+ MPG during long-range cruising.
Here some evidence about the mpgs, first it was going around 12.4l/100km (~19mpg), but after an engine air filter change for the OEM, a MAF and throthle body cleaning that i'll be posting on the next threads, it went down to 10.6l/100km (~22mpg) .

I'll be posting about all i've been doing to it and all my ideas for this new project, hope to count on your guys experience and advices to make it the best possible.
But, before i go for the next thread, i'm thinking to go for some 18" Methods 316 on Gloss Titanium, and a set of 295/70R18 Toyo R/T Trails, please let me know what you guys think!
