1974 Toyota FJ40 that has spent the bulk of its life in the Southwest.
I’ve owned the truck for about 7 years. When I purchased it from Kanab, UT, it had a small block chevy motor and a Ranger 2 speed overdrive adapted to the stock Toyota 4 speed. After about a year or so, I removed the small block and Ranger and purchased a rusted out 1984 Toyota FJ60 for a parts doner to put the drivetrain back to an original style. That truck had about 285,000 miles on the odo. At the time the motor leaked from every seal and gasket but started and ran. I removed the motor, eliminated all of the smog garbage, degreased and cleaned, purchased a new reproduction de-smogged carb from Tollhole, inspected rod and main bearings, bores etc, and resealed...
Selling a running 69 FJ40 factory soft top model that comes with the factory pto winch setup. The truck starts right up and drives & brakes good. The dash is all original and hasn’t been cut or drilled into. The front and rear seats were reupholstered at one point and still are in good shape. The rear floor and one wheel well were replaced with new metal as well. Everything on the truck is mostly original except the Weber carb, electric fuel pump and that they converted it from a column shifter to a floor shifter. I have an FJ40 that I’ve been working on for a couple of years. It needs to be completed and I have all of the parts to complete it. The only reason for selling it is that I just bought a 60 and it feels so good to be back in a 60 series. Anyways, like I said, I have everything to complete the project. 1970 Toyota Land Cruiser fj40 that has a super solid body for its age. Previous owner disassembled it and most of the parts are there with a few exceptions. No front seats and no drivetrain. I do have the transmission and transfer case for it but condition is unknown. The rear jump seats are there and the gauge cluster is also there. For sale is a 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ40. Nearing the end of a long restoration, the BJ40 dropped about half the compression in one cylinder. While the vehicle starts and runs, that cylinder needs to be examined and repaired. Otherwise, as described below, the BJ40 is in near perfect condition – excellent exterior, spotless interior, everything functional, and with lots of upgrades. The odometer reads 67K kilometers (~42K miles), which the original owner claims is the true mileage (and is the mileage on the title) but the total mileage is unknown to me. The hard top is in really great condition no rust but they did paint the fiberglass top. All hardware is stainless steel and will include weather stripping for the windshield frame.
Ambulance doors are in great shape all OEM hardware and no major dent or dings. The driver side door has a little rust starting to form but other than that they are in great shape.
Not sure of what the pricing should be so I am putting $2000.00 for everything and I am willing to negotiate on the pricing . I would also be willing to do partial trade for a factory soft top BOWS or a soft top.

I'm looking for an Fj40. My first vehicle was a 1970 in dune beige. Sold it when we had kids, dogs, etc. Now I'm retired and want another one.
I'm looking for one that's as original as possible. Years 1968 to 1978. I like the ambulance doors, but pre 1975 gets me away from the Oregon smog requirements. Three on the tree is fine. No V8 conversions, no highly modified wheelers. Tasteful upgrades like power steering, disc brakes are acceptable. Don't need AC as whenever it's warm enough for that, the top will be off. Will be mostly used for putzing around in nice weather, picking up cute girls and beer runs. 😉 No hard core wheeling.

Originally yellow, the previous owner powder coated the frame and repainted the rig with a very unique and head turning green, that changes to purple and grey depending on how the sunlight is hitting the paint. The frame is 100% rust free. The body is in excellent condition except for the passenger side rocker which sustained some minor damage on the Rubicon Trail. Interior is in excellent shape.
