Meet Lulu, she is a 1966 FJ40.
We rescued her from a local about 10 years ago. When we uncovered her we were really surprised at how great of a condition she was in. She has been under a tarp for about 20 years. She had no motor or running gear. The seats were toast. But the body and paint were in great shape just needed some elbow grease and some gentle loving to bring her true color back out.
The motor was sourced from a friend a low-mile Chevy Small Block 350. The motor at the time had about 30k on it.
The radiator was re-cored and is in excellent shape.

It breaks my heart, but I am needing to sell my 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 that I’ve been working on for the last 2.5 years.
History: This truck sat in a storage yard for over 20 years before I rescued her. She was a mess, complete with seized engine, shredded seats, rodent poop, a mess.
Over the course of these 2.5 years, I had a lot of work done to her. She now runs and looks awesome, but still needs more work, and that is why I have decided to pass her along to the next caretaker.
She’s an original California FJ40, with dealer stripes, original paint (aka amazing patina), original 2F 6-cylinder engine. The odometer is stuck at 74K, so unknown how many true miles. I’ve only driven her probably a total of...

This 1972 FJ40 is finished in it's mostly original Spring Green paint. This vehicle is a mostly original survivor, a rare find. The front passenger fender was repainted at some point in it's history. The paint has been restored with polishing, buffing, and wax. The frame has had it’s undercoating removed, and a now wears a fresh coat of paint.

Its worth $30000.00 grand to me Because I know It will cost that much to build it again...

1974 FJ 40 for sale (first year of 4 speed). 3.9L 1.5F engine, odometer shows 95,707 miles. In great shape; 4 wheel power disk brakes, manual steering. Great driver, has an older repaint in white. FJ has been garaged since I have owned it, as well as previous 2 owners. Came out of far west Texas to me when I lived there and rode on a trailer to Santa Fe when I moved. I’ve driven it around town, up to Taos, and in the National Forest.

I've owned this cruiser for over 20 years now but it's officially time for it to go. It is in good condition for it's age but needs a a bit of work and should have a mechanic take a look at it before it heads out on the road for any considerable distance.
Engine
Original B motor. Runs fine but could use a rebuild, or replacement with a 3B or 13BT. Smokes a fair amount at startup. In colder weather requires the use of glow plugs for first two minutes or so to keep the smoke down. The oil pump also sometimes has a tough time priming when the temperature is really hot
Interior
Front seats recovered in blue fabric with factory stitching pattern. Doors and top aren't original, they are beige but period-correct. Headliner is attached, but...

1972 FJ40 that's lived here in CO for at least the last 3 owners.
Prior 2 guys did a great job with rust mitigation and a back have tub over from the looks of it.
Has a Rancho lift, Weber carb (that goes use some love) but she starts up pretty quick when its above 60 degrees or so (see cold start video...its 77 degrees right now).
Vacuum leak from the brake master, could be a cracked hose ($10) or it could be in need a new booster ($400).
Fender damage drivers side (pictured), rear quarter dent (pictured).
Prior owner diamond plated the usual areas but there is no rust underneath (I pulled the driver rear piece off to check, reinstalled).
After market seats, rearview mirror is a replica period correct unit.
Soft top is brand new...
