have one 1970 FJ40 original central Oregon truck with ~90,000 original miles. Original 6 cylinder, transmission, transfer case, radiator, rear heater, front seats, jump seats, carb, air cleaner, etc. This Fj was involved in a little wreck. It was completely disassembled body off frame. The frame had a little bend to it so I found another solid rust free frame with a title that comes with it. As for the rear tub that was damaged in the wreck I acquired a 1969 fj40 with a completely stock and nearly rust free body, hard top, frame, axels, lots of great parts with no motor or transmission. That's about as far as I got with the project. One disassembled FJ, one complete roller, and one frame. There is enough parts here to easily build one...

It does have a 350 transplant mated to the original 4 speed gear box. Rust is what you would expect, but not as bad as some. It does come with a pristine sandblasted frame that I never got a chance to build on.

Selling because my wife doesn’t like riding in it, so I recently purchased an 80 which I would like to get up and operational.
Colorado Vehicle, body has a few rust spots (shown in the pictures), floors are good with no holes. A lot better “bodywise” than my previous FJ40. Comes with the Soft top and bikini top, with full and half doors.
2F/4 speed swap unknown mileage, leaks a drop a day but runs good. I have daily driven it for the last couple months can do 60mph all day long with the 33’s. Transfer case shifts fine through 4H/4L
Has disk brakes up front, brakes are a little squishy but get the job done.
Brand new Toyota steelies with the caps, all purchased through Toyota. Worn BFG KO2...

This is a perfect project car for someone! I have too many projects going on and I really can't keep this one anymore, since I have a 72 that is running. I'm posting here bc I love my rig and I would feel a lot better knowing it went to a fellow mudder> I did post it on CL though.
Please note: NO ENGINE is installed
It has 33" tires, King shocks. I'm throwing in the transmission, tranfer case, bellhouseing, 350 small block and mounts. All you have to do is put it together!! Has original AC and tire carrier.
I don't see any rust and 1 of the tires are probably dry rotted. It's been sitting for a few years and the registration is non-opt.

1975 Toyota FJ 40 Landcruiser
Under this restored matte tan paint is a 4-speed manual transmission and the stock 2F inline 6-cylinder motor. The Toyota inline 6 are well known for long-life spans and when properly maintained can last up to 500,000 miles. The truck had an extensive restoration a few years ago at another shop, the engine compartment was not touched at part of the restoration. This Landcruiser is in very good condition and looking for a new owner. This rig comes with only 59,399 original miles, offering many more years of fun. ive got a 65 tub on a 78 frame with 65 axles ready to roll with a title. Not too sure on the tubs history but I know it spent the last 17 years in the Socal desert and then Nevada before that. It's got a cool UNLV parking permit from 1977 on it. Tub is in phenomenal shape except for the drivers side floor board. See pics.
Frame is a lifetime Socal truck. I bought it from the original owner about two years ago. Frame is in great shape.
Title is in my name but the DMV screwed me so there's 200-ish dollars in back fees on it. Can't remember the exact total.
Great foundation for a build but sadly in California it will have to be smogged and that's why I'm selling it.

*****SOLD**** I can't believe I'm doing this but, I have to sell some of my vehicles and this 1979 BJ40 TLC is one of them. Here are a few things I've done to her since owning it (2009); Rebuilt the diesel fuel pump, upgraded the transmission with a rebuilt 5-speed, changed out the rear axle gears for higher gearing, upgraded all brakes to disc, a new head and rebuilt the radiator...... this is to name a few.
