this is mine. For sale til June 22. I’m only selling to be somewhat more liquid because there is an auction on the 23rd with a farm I want to bid on. Up for sale is my 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser fj40. This has been a truck that I built with intentions of it being my last. Some things were done for functionality and others were just personal taste. I started off with a solid rig from Washington state. I didn't want a rust bucket to begin. I currently do not have the top on it because it's summer time. Tops don't belong on a 40 in the summer. I do have matching front doors, ambulance doors, and hard top. They are not assembled but they are painted and included. The paint is raptor liner that I tinted and works well for the truck...

1972 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. I do not know anything about the mechanical condition of any part on the vehicle. What you see in pictures is all that is included. As far as I can tell, it was a complete running vehicle at one time. For some reason is was partially disassembled and then abandon for several years. For the purpose of showing it's potential, I bolted in core SBC. It does NOT RUN or drive. The engine turns over by hand. The chassis rolls and steers.What I know about this vehicle is by visual observation only. The frame is relatively solid. 1974 FJ40 with 1F motor, weber carb with headers and only 75K original miles 4 speed transmission. I bought this FJ about 7 years ago and started to rebuild it early last year which included: New paint and body work including front fenders etc. not a perfect paint job but very well done for a classic cruiser. Rust Free, 1971 Toyota FJ40. This vehicle spent the majority of its life in Arizona. In very good condition, the motor is strong and it shifts easily. It has a new rebuilt front axel, new disk brakes, rear differential and emergency brake. The work was done by Trollhole’s Cruisers in Simpsonville, SC a local FJ specialty shop. The tires are brand new Cooper Discovery ATP 31x10.5x15 including the spare. The FJ also has the original rear jump seats, new front bumper and taillights. For Sale NOT MINE - how to identify foreign versus USA FJ40

I want to learn so I can buy the best vehicle possible. This is listed for sale, but some things that have clued me that this may not be USA is the lack of roll bar for a 1978. I know the seats are not original, but that could have just been a choice. What else is a dead give away? As sad as I am to post this, I’ve got to sell my Donkey (brown, loud, stinks, but goes anywhere). Wanted to take him to Costa Rica but they changed their import laws before I could get all the necessary things done. I appreciate all the help I’ve gotten from this forum and hope to return once I’ve moved to CR and gotten a new project FJ or BJ down there.
