Ugh that sucks!!
There is a 40 6 houses down from me that was fully restored and sat in a garage that caught on fire. Not much fire damage more when the fire fighters started opening the roof causing all the joists to fall on top of it

I can relate. Tough break
You can see the steel bodies have a higher burn temp than the aluminum 1/4 panel protectors do. For $1000 it would be worth it for the tub as long as it was straight.
