I see half dead pigs sell faster than fully restored. While I was one the hunt there was local '76 that started at 23.9k and 6 months later they stopped posting it at 13.9k. Don't know if it sold or they gave up. Saw a few like that throughout 2012.

since it drives me crazy when people link stuff and then a month later you can't see it because the ad is gone...here's the pic

Looks like it could be this pig that is posted in the owners section - one of my all time favorites.

Could be...

No "D" rings on front bumper in the ad.

but.......same rear bumper, front shackles, front bumper other than
the removed "D" rings, winch etc.... etc....

regardless - nice wagon(s)

I love the Pumpkin orange! Was that color for the 40 and 55 only in 73??

Sweet!!!! One of my all time faves too! Figures this and the blue one come up just as I de-55ed my garage... Luckily I know of another local one...

I believe pumpkin was used on other years besides 73 as I have a pic of a non us post 76 in pumpkin that looks stock but interested in a definitive answer. This is my original 73 40...

Thats cool! Always one of my favorites. I know this guy who's letting a 73 pumpkin like yours, rot in a field, I've been trying to buy it for 25 years. I haven't looked at it real close in awhile to see if it's worth fixing because he said he might be interested in getting rid of it finally. It was from out west originally and when he brought it back East he put it in a barn, why he put it outside to rot is beyond me.

Oh, I hope you can get it!
The orange ones are special...

I just spoke with the guy who is selling the pig. He is not on mud (don't think he had ever heard of it) and not very computer savvy. I sent him the link to this thread and he said that it is the same cruiser. He said it was built by a guy in Jackson Hole and then went to Utah, where the picture was taken when it had the roof rack.

He got it from a local dealer in Memphis who got it from the bank. He has had it for about four years and said that he has never had to anything to it, not even replace the battery.

He was amazed that his ad showed up here and that there were old pictures from when the PO owned it.

I got the feeling that he wasn't all that anxious to sell.

We are going to meet up for lunch in the next couple weeks and compare piggies. If anyone is interested, I could check it out for them.
