Anyone know where this ground bolts to? It has been too long since I had this thing apart and the EWD is not a lot of help. It is on the same harness as the starter power wire. Looks like it should bolt some where near the drivers side engine mount.

If i am not wrong, one side is connected to the battery (-) and the other side connected to the engine wall, just above and left of the engine support, check the picture.

Yep. Just had to locate the bolt for this on my rebuild.

This is great, we're you able to connect the ground wire? I'm at the same point and struggling with where all the ground wires connect.

I'm really enjoying following your build. What an awesome job! Extremely detailed work and I am truly appreciating the great details that you are sharing with us with the nice pictures. Keep up the great work and thanks so much for sharing it with us.

Funny that you say that

Haha, looks eerily similar. A funny thing is, my tracks have made it into google's maps! My buddies and I are both surprised and happy to see our hard work memorialized by satellite imagery. :)

Now that is awesome...

Been driving the cruiser around for a while, almost have 3000 miles on the engine and cross my fingers no problems.

Nice.

Does the HU USB port have charging capabilities?

If you're plans to add tube around the Rigid are for protection, wouldn't worry about too much. They're tough and it may be a weight savings item.

Have seen long travel sand rails ( only in videos ) roll three or four times, landing directly on, and when they roll them upright, the lights still on.

On my FJC, the lens took a direct impact from a tree, enough to move the rack on the feet, and didn't even scratch.

Edited: for reference.

Good to know, maybe I wont worry about adding any tube. The USB will charge my I-Pod not sure about my droid. Next time I drive it I will post back and let you know.

Glad to see this thread still going. Amazing work.

I always wondered why there wasn't a Demello style bumper for the 80, nice work as that looks pretty close.
