Haven’t had a chance to look yet. I hefted it out of the trunk and dropped it on the ground next to the car. It won’t go anywhere that’s for sure. I’ll check it out Mon. Tmrw I’ll be doing a 12 so leaving in the dark and returning in the dark. Seller said he’d picked it up at a scrap yard.

No need to spin the block to insert a piston. Just make sure the appropriate crank journal is close to bottom center and the rod end is adequately buffered. One of the few advantages of a straight 6 over a V8.

Other than digits, no name listed. I’ll need to scrub the pn’s listed on it to see them clearly but this thing is amazing. A beautifully engineered simple piece of working art. I love it.

The other day I walked into my usual coffee shop to get my cup and coffee roll before work. Some new older guy was at the counter. I spoke to the lady who works there and another guy who is always there at the counter, ‘the lake looks like it’s getting a skim of ice, it was all gray and not moving.’ The new guy says ‘well it better be at 17°... if you see any frogs or fish jumping then you’ll know.’ I responded ‘I was born blond but I ain’t that stupid. Give me a break.’ Then I showed the lady I adore because she has such a quirky hard personality a photo of the jack and tell her about it. The new guy had no more stupid girl jokes. I hate men who think women are the inferior gender.

I rarely chime in on anything, but I love that transmission jack! That is so cool.
I gotta say, too, that jack is amazing... Purely mechanical advantage for lifting. No hydraulics. Looks like great condition, also.

1,000 pound capacity, 3” to 26” working height. Looks sturdy and the ratchet mechanism works smoothly... How old is it and what would it be worth.
