You should probably read this post carefully, regarding CARB. I don't think anything has changed (publicly, anyway) since then, but I could be wrong.
Well, that’s a bummer (for now) but I totally understand. CARB certification is expensive and tedious process. I almost feel like they have designed it for only large corporations - which is what they probably deal with most of the time and not small businesses. I am in no rush and I love what WitsEnd has done so I will look at the future with optimism :)

Good day all, I’m finishing up the turbo install and looking for solutions for the windshield washer reservoir location. I have a dual battery and had the slee washer fluid relocation kit. Can anyone provide me with some photos if you have a good solution? Thank you

Installing turbo and should finish tomorrow. If the check valves to be replaced under the intake are to prevent turbo pressure from blowing into the gas tank and pressurizing it, AND my charcoal canister is off-line now (plugged the line from the intake with small bolt), do I even need those two valves supplied im the kit?

Napa or Amaazon washer bottle works. Look at my build page @Spyduh is using a Amazon universal Washer bottle

Wits End Turbo owner page 1. Has a lot of shortcuts for common info for the Turbo too

Purchased the Amazon universal washer fluid kit. It actually bolted on the slee water bottle relocation bracket. The OEM spray motor also fit into the reservoir. It holds about 35oz, but it’s better than nothing for sure.

Been thinking about putting a precleaner on the snorkel but was worried it might restrict the intake too much with the turbo. Any ideas what kind of CFMs these boosted 1FZ's require?

Technically, CFM would be dependent on your temp, pressure, etc.

With that said, our MAF sensor gives us Lbs/min via OBDII.

I’ve seen as high as like 30 lbs/min on hard acceleration at sea level and temps around 75-80 deg.

CFM = (30 lbs/min) / 0.07
CFM = ~430

finally finished my exhaust and back to finishing the turbo. Having troubles with the oil return. Not sure if these new in house hoses are stiffer than the old ones but I cant no matter how the fitting is angled off the turbo get it to line up with the drain. there is very little maleability. If I angle the fitting away towards the fender it is 180 degrees off at the oil pan fitting. I have tried inside the ac line, outside ect. Any one else struggling to install the new style hoses? Will admit I could just be doing it wrong but looking for some pointers even if its obvious. :confused:

Is the turbo drain clocked so that it is straight down? Pictures always help.

Here are some pictures with the line oriented a few different ways off the oil pan side and shots showing how it lines up to the turbo

First two pics are the drain line feeding straight into the oil pan. You can see the drain from the turbo is pretty close to straight down. No way this hose is getting anywhere near the turbo drain. Maybe with an additional 45 degree fitting it might but I do not want to introduce another failure point.

Next up is the drain fitting on the oil pan angled towards the front of the truck.

Again, no way this is attaching to the turbo without another 45 degree fitting or clocking the turbo heavily towards the fender.

Next up is the oil pan fitting angled towards the rear of the truck

Angled towards the rears brings it up where the wastegate and downpipe will be. The hose is not flexible enough to be routed forward in this orientation.

The next one is the line off the turbo oriented in what I believe should be the correct orientation...towards the fender

At the oil pan no way this is fitting without another 45 degree adapted. Again, the hose is too stuff to muscle or bend it into position

pictures of the completed exhaust. Will reinstall once I figure out the drain and get the downpipe back in. 2.5 inch stainless all the way back up and over the frame.

Is that the hardline that goes between the turbo and intake? I'm thinking is a port for an intake air temp sensor. I just got my kit and have been looking it over, so I am no expert though.

This is the hard line between the throttle body and the turbo. The bigger and tight U is the intake to turbo. Did you get anything to seal it?
