Finally got a quote from them:
For 6 5gal jugs, price is $49.23 each plus shipping which is $102
For 12 5gal jugs, price is $45.59 each plus shipping which is still $102 (they have a per pallet price)
Both of the above is for the odorless recirculating solvent which has the flash point of 130

Hey whats going on with this with this ??? You never got back about the stuff in the bag for cleaning also . (looks like I will take 15gal as the 12 is what I need and a couple left over for :whoops: )

Those guys are frickin crazy. Filters cost $87 for a 2 pack. For the price of this crap and the filters I could fill it several times with mineral spirits. If you're heading up on Sat we can chat then. If not, drop me a pm.

Yup. Spendy. I don't remember it being that much, but my problem is getting rid of the mineral spirits. Disposal costs more than the damn solvent.

Safely Kleen's contract cost me more in a year than the 1st ayd stuff that's lasted me two years and is still going strong.

Picked up one of these and 20 gallons or so of Stoddard solvent, should have bought one YEARS ago... decided on spending a few extra dollars for the "pro" model in hopes that the pump will be troublefree for years to come. (bought it maybe a year and a half ago...)

Any other types of solvent or liquid that can be mixed with Stoddard solvents?

Back when I was looking at these I put a wanted ad in the local paper for a "Safety Kleen Parts Washer". The phone rang off the hook for weeks with people that had them for sale. As I understand it in the early days these were not well documented and often forgot about. I bought a one with a 35 gallon drum for $40 I got a pump at Grainger and solvent from Zep (Dyna Blue) for something like $8 gallon. Total investment in 2000 was around $350 with the biggest portion being the solvent. I keep the lid closed when not in use to minimize evaporation and smell. Expensive still but beets the danger, hazards and smell of the pink parts washing fluid in a pan.

You can buy them direct but they don't give them away. Here's the one I have.

Has anyone tried one of the microbial parts cleaners? I first came across it in a segment on Leno's Garage. That unit was made by a company called Biocircle. There are others too, Chemfree and Graymills also make one. Each of the parts washers is basically an aqueous parts washer made from thermoplastic that is set to heat at about 110F and includes a special filter that contains a bateria that eats the oil and sludge.

The idea is that you never have to change the cleaning fluid - just add some water if it evaporates, change out the filter every so often and sprinkle in a packet of new bacteria if isn't not cleaning well. Also has the advantage that it doesn't smell like solvent and isn't flammable. The systems are pricey ($1200-$1500) but not crazy and I figure that not having to get rid of old solvent will even the cost out in the long term.

SUCKS DONKEY COCKS!!!!

No other way to put it. This stuff blows. Don't buy it unless all you want is supple hands. Wish I had tried a gallon of it before I went all the way and wasted my cash on 10 gallons. This stuff does nothing. It just pushed the grease around. Tried to rinse after the wash, nothing. The only thing it clean was my hands (it did do that well and they are soft and silky like a baby's bottom.)

I then used a spray bottle of full strength Simple Green on the grease that was still on the parts - dripped right off with no effort.

My next step is going to be 10 gallons of Simple Green I think. Although 10 gallons of kerosene would probably be more cost effective.

I have a mind to pour this crap back in the jugs and tote it back to Northern Tool where I got it.

Dude. Get some Super Clean. SuperClean rocks. You have to wear gloves though, it will beat your hands up something fierce. Cuts grease for fricking ever. No organic solvents, water based. Smells good. Pleasant purplish color. I forgot to show you my parts washer at TUTapII, which is filled with it.
