white wheels with caps,,,correct for any FJ40 ??

Ok the blue rig did it.......I’m changing my wheels to factory Steele’s w/ caps and painting them white!

Never offered in US market on a 40.

But probably should have.
 
What color were the US stock wheels?

If I switched back to stock wheels, it looks like the wheel is too narrow for any 10.5"x33"x15" tire? I'd like to go to the stock wheels with hub caps and go back to a narrower tire (currently has 12.5"x33"x15" on spoked AR white wheels). What tire are people using to keep 33" diameter on such a narrow steel rim?

BFG makes both AT and MT tires that fit really well and are perfectly safe. Toyo also makes tires in that size.
 
Yes it is true, the early American imported 40's came only with the grey color wheels and did not come with lockout hubs unless installed at the Port of entry or the dealer.
