Nothing within 500 miles on Marketplace, CL, eBay. OEM Toyota dealer has nothing and what they can special order is $$$.
Searched this forum's classifieds and Vendor forum. Nothing as of today.
Is there a reputable US-based FJ40 seller... seeking four 15" white OEM wheels for my 1983.
Thank you.

Strip and powdercoat FJ60 wheels?

the white spoke 60 style rims were 1981+
1979 and 1980 were still grey with hubcaps
AFAIK Les Schwab was still powder coating rims, they did a decent job on my grey 40 rims years ago

as this is not classifieds, PM if you are interested in a set of 4

PM sent.
I used to powdercoat parts years ago but moved to anodizing. Our town has several quality powdercoating operations in the industrial district. Just requested quotes from several. Thanks for the reminder.

You can sandblast/powdercoat the chrome 15" wheels from a 60 OR go really nice and powder coat a set of 16" 70 series wheels to match the factory white. The new 70 series wheels are silver powder coat and you can coat over those without stripping them.
Definitely go with an off white like RAL 9010 (will match the white on the roof). Bright white looks wrong on a 40

My wife's 40 with 16" 70 series wheels, 255/85 tires and RAL 9010 color.

Not sure where you are in the state, but I have a sixty with chrome wheels in eastern Idaho. As mentioned they could be blasted and coated.

Thanks to all for the input, offers to sell, and color guidelines. Just found 5 local oem Toyota FJ 15" in repainted gold with useless tires. Seller had them going on 2 months, wouldn't sell just 4, but wanted them gone. Picking up today, dismounting tires on friend's home shop, and getting powdercoating quotes locally. Turns out Les Schwab also powdercoats (not cerakote)! Will take extra time to make sure powdercoaters knows off white, not shiny white.

gold color was OEM on mini trucks, same rim, just different color
what is the cost at Schwab these days. IIRC they were sent off to somewhere in OR

addendum after post below: $58.80 is Les Schwab price, turnaround is 1 week. Limited colors, have samples in store to see if their white or gray or whatever is close enough. And it's not showcar quality. Employee said sometimes tiny particles of blast element get stuck in the juncture. He was very upfront about that by saying "this is not SEMA quality work, but for many it does the job."

The Idaho LS does send them off, didn't state where. Every Wednesday the powdercoat truck leaves and returns. Having said all that, minutes ago I found walkaround vids from Proffitt's that make the chrome wheels look so much better than the still shots (in my opinion). So now I am rethinking the need and want for white FJ wheels with this black 40.

I think it was $35-40 10 years ago, so $59 isn't bad at all
